We all know what the BMW i8 represents for BMW, the first plug-in hybrid ever to be built by the German carmaker bringing forward that hybrid technology that everybody has been looking for ages. And BMW i8 is that hypercar that can inspire aftermarket shops in transforming into something unique.

The boys from the Californian based SS Customs tuning division have pictured a more futuristic i8 and decided to make it as such. That`s why they named this Satin Clear i8 the “Tron8”, a special tuning project that makes it one-of-a-kind.

The BMW Tron8 has received a more aggressive body style, thanks to the new front bumper, side skirts, rear, grille, all body parts being complemented by the Blue Chrome and 3M Reflective accents. The entire work could not have been completed without the fitting of the 22-inch Aristo Collection wheels, which give it a distinctive look and stance.

In terms of performance, there are no signs of any mods carried out under the hood, the BMW Tron8 still packing a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol unit, along with the BMW`s eDrive technology, in the shape of an electric drive system.

The 1.5-liter turbocharged unit outputs a total of 231 horsepower, sent to the rear wheels, while the electric drive sends an additional of 131 horsepower to the front wheels, the hybrid car also coming with an all-electric range of up to 35 kilometers, at a top speed of 120 km/h.
