The BMW German based luxury automaker will be launching its fresh M4 Convertible next month, at the 2014 New York Auto Show.

BMW will be launching the M4 Convertible alongside its flagships X4 and the Alpina B6 xDrive Gran Coupe. The news is backed up by a latest report posted by Bimmertoday, announcing the arrival of the M4 Convertible.

The new BMW M4 Convertible is actually the replacement car for the M3 Convertible, being based on the M4 Coupe.

The new M4 Convertible will come with a reshaped body, a retractable hardtop, carbon fiber materials on the doors and chassis and 18-inch alloys.

As for the power being produced under the hood, the M4 Convertible will sport the same unit also found on the M4 Coupe and M3 Sedan.

We are talking about the same 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder unit, developing a rough 431 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.

While the M4 runs the whole 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 4.1 seconds, we have no details rendered about the spring being ran by the M4 Convertible.

New photos with the BMW 4-Series Convertible have been just revealed by the German luxury car manufacturer, setting the car into the spotlights again, after the model was officially revealed in 2013.

The BMW 4-Series Convertible is now shown from a better perspective as it shares the same platform as the 4-Series Coupe, being the replacement of the old 3-Series Convertible.

The BMW 4-Series Convertible has a lot deal to offer, as it features an improved retractable roof that maximizes the space in the boot.

There are also other options that the fresh 4-Series is bring, like a lowered suspension, improved aerodynamics, “torque steer free electric power steering”, which is offered as a standard choice, along with an optional 8-speed automatic.

The BMW 4-Series Convertible receives both the same 2.0-liter engine four-cylinder turbocharged engine, just like the 428i, developing 242 horsepower, as well as the 2.0-liter inline six-cylinder unit, taken from the 435i version, which develops 302 horsepower.

The diesel version sports the same engine 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged, but with fewer 181 horsepower.
