The Bavarian based carmaker BMW is on a full swing with its newest prototypes being tested out on different parts of Europe; following recent tests of the new 2019 Z4 M40i at Autodrome de Miramas in the South of France, the future BMW X3 M has been put to work at the famous Nurburgring track, in Germany.

Judging by the evidently stripped-off camouflage, these are perhaps the prototype`s final tests before a final debut, presuming at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, this September. To see the SUV`s stage of development, you can also access the spy video below.

From a visual standpoint, the hardcore model from the X3 series presents itself with an extremely aggressive body style, highlighted by a number of impressive M goodies. We are dealing here with updated front and rear bumpers, along with new side skirts and roof-mounted spoiler. The whole look is complemented with the now much larger alloy wheels.

Mechanically, the new 2019 X3 M features new braking system, sports suspension, along with the carmaker`s updated launch control and retuned electronics, all increasing its driving and handling capabilities.

From previous posts, we also know that the interior of the 2019 BMW X3 M is going to come with a lot of new improvements compared to the previous model. We are expecting more M goodies, better high-end materials and the company`s latest high-tech gadgetries, also underpinning other new models from BMW.

As for powertrains under the hood, word has it that the new X3 M will be equipped with a 3.0-liter turbo-charged inline six-cylinder engine, also known as the S58 pot, the same that is put on the 40i models. In the X3 M, the engine could come up with around 454 horsepower. This means that it would be around 99 horsepower more powerful than the M40i, with a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h done in 4.0 seconds. Without the M Driver`s Package, the top speed will stop at 250 km/h, or 280 km/h with the system installed.

Back in January, spy photographers from different magazines, including CarScoops, have caught the all-new 2020 BMW M3 while performing hard testing sessions out in the snow. Recently, the same test mule has been seen on the Ring performing new tests, before getting ready for an official debut at the 2018 Frankfurt Motor Show.

As with most of BMW`s models, the 2020 BMW M3 is also likely to adopt the CLAR platform meaning more carbon fiber and aluminum components which will increase performance and fuel efficiency. It will also allow the fitting of a more powerful 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder.

Visually, the upcoming M3 seen here seems to follow the same design language as the current model, coming as well with enhanced elements. As we can see in the spy photos below, it will come with a more aggressive fascia at the front, along with lower air intake with honeycomb inserts.

The back also looks a bit different with the updated four-tailpipe exhaust system and small rear spoiler. There is also the updated suspension system which reduces the car`s ride height, along with much more aggressive side skirts, extended wheel arches and cross-drilled discs.

Inside, the cabin will benefit from the latest technologies which will be in contrast with a more modern design highlighted by high-end materials. The main emphasize will be on the updated iDrive infotainment system or digital instrument cluster.

Under the hood, sources state that the 2020 BMW M3 is likely to adopt the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, yet with much more power. Compared with the curren 425 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, the new 2020 M3 is said to come with around 493 horsepower.

Back in January, rumors stated that the current M3 would come to a halt in a couple of months because of tightening emissions regulations, preparing a more highly-technologized model which would emerge in 2020. However, one month later, BMW representative declared during an interview for “The Drive” that “There is no plan to stop the BMW M3 production this May. Production will conclude when the all-new model is being launched.” This means that we will still get to see the current M3 as a MY2018, with prices to start at $66,500.

German based carmaker BMW is currently testing out new models near Nurburgring, in Germany, including the recently spied 1-Series, set to arrive next year as a 2019 MY.

The new 1-Series will be totally different than the current generation, as it will make the transition to the UKL platform, meaning a front-wheel drive layout – also underpinning the new X1, MINI Cooper S and the 2-Series Active Tourer – more lightweight materials, increased space inside the cabin and a suite of engines under the hood.

Following previous spy shots released back in June, the new ones released on wilcoblock Instagram page reveal the car`s production body style. This means that the car is going to be bigger and tweaked with new design elements.

The new design elements refer to updated panels, upright grille layout for the front end, drawn-back headlights, revised rear end and larger wheels. Other new tweaks include fully-independent rear suspension setup and differential at the rear.

Speaking of the new UKL platform, this means more lightweight materials, also underpinning the new MINI Cooper S and X1 in the United Kingdom. It also automatically leads to increased space inside and better driving dynamics. The good news is that besides the front-wheel drive configuration, the all-new 2019 BMW 1-Series is also set to arrive with an all-wheel drive system, which will equip the higher-performance variants.

Performance wise, the 2019 BMW 1-Series is likely to adopt a completely new four-cylinder engine lineup. However, according to new reports, the model would also come with three-cylinder mills. Among the most important ones we could mention a 2.0-liter turbo, with around 250 kW; equipped with an all-drive configuration, this variant would come with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds.

The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid has been around for some time now, the model representing the carmaker`s most advanced engineering in terms of performance and low emissions. And we have always believed that an i8 convertible would also be a second hit.

The dreams are about to come true, as a test mule with what seems to be a BMW i8 Spyder has been recently caught on a spy video while getting its testing rounds at the Ring.

A BMW i8 Spyder rumor mill has been around for years, with tens of renderings to showcase the future model in terms of design and performance under the hood. And rendering artists like theophiluschin, one of the most famous in the world, has indeed foreseen how a future model would look like.

The BMW i8 Spyder test mule seen here is wearing the same design as the coupe sibling, except for the chopped roof. And it would be quite a pity if it would come with other styling changes.

In the engine department, the BMW i8 Spyder will likely borrow the present plug-in hybrid`s powertrain, meaning a conventional 1.5-liter petrol burner attached to an electric motor and a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

This would result an impressive 362 horsepower, which is enough to deliver a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.0 seconds, just like the i8 in its general form. The range would also stand at around 530 km, which is also quite astonishing.

As for its official release, we should expect it in 2022 or 2023, however, don’t be disappointed, we might see it on the streets much sooner! Meanwhile, enjoy the video with the BMW i8 Spyder!

BMW is ready to launch the all-new 5-Series Sedan and Station Wagon somewhere this autumn, but will also add an updated version of this GT test mule, seen here while performing some tests on the Nurburgring.

We might be looking here at a sec-gen GT model which would be launch in China first, and that because of the increased popularity that the model has had on the aforementioned market for the last couple of years.

As we can depict from the spy photos, the BMW 5-Series GT will come with a fresh design, highlighted by an evolutionary styling.

This means that the hatchback will adopt in the end a more prominent twin kidney grille flanked by slender headlights, along with a tall roof flowing down the tailgate, now coming with an integrated spoiler.

As expected, BMW`s new CLAR platform, also seen on the new 2016 BMW 7-Series or upcoming 2018 BMW 6 Series Coupe, will underpin the 5-Series GT, meaning lightweight materials like carbon fiber, aluminum or high-strength steel. This would make it 200 pounds lighter than the current model.

As far as the engine lineup concern, there are no reports detailing that, but we should expect a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo flat-six diesel with 265 horsepower or a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo flat-six petrol with higher 326 horsepower. In case you want to feel more powerful on the road, then you can opt for a topper 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine, with more than 450 horsepower.

The all-new BMW X3 is popping-up in our news again in new tests, this time the model being driven on the famous Nurburgring race track.

According to some new reports, the new BMW X3 is nlikely to be unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, BMW focusing more on revealing the facelift 5-Series. This means that it would be launched next year as a 2017 YM.

As previously discussed, the 2017 BMW X3 is coming with an extremely evolutionary design, highlighted by the new front fascia with standout grille which is flanked by the slender headlights.

Other features refer to a panoramic glass sunroof, tailgate-mounted spoiler as well as a dual-exhaust system.
As most of the upcoming BMW models, the 2017 BMW X3 will also underpin the CLAR platform, meaning lightweight materials for improved driving dynamics and increased performance.

Speaking about performance, the all-new BMW X3 is reported to come with 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol mills and diesels, adding a 3.0-liter inline six. As expected, a plug-in hybrid will join the club, along with the high-end X3 M40i with a 3.0-liter flat-six turbocharged engine, developing 360 horsepower and 343 lb-ft of torque.

The BMW M2 Coupe is back with its latest spy video at the Nurburgring, the model still being on heavy tests before its official unveiling, somewhere next year. The German based carmaker is indeed trying to bring something special to all of its fans, and wants to make sure that everything is in the right place before releasing it on the market.

The BMW M2 Coupe has been the most anticipated model for the last couple of years,and is considered the tuned-up version of the M235i Coupe. But this particular model is wearing the M signature, which means more performance under the hood and a more aggressive body.

And even if this test mule is also wearing some camouflage around the body, we can depict the M technology and features, which make it look apart from other BMW models. There is the new M bumpers and sills with the aero parts, one-off front spoiler with a more aggressive air intake, flared wheel arches, large rear wing and a few more.

From a mechanical point of view, the upcoming BMW M2 Coupe will also sport the M differential, new steering setup, modified suspensions and brakes, as well as lightweight wheels which would add up more stability and increase performance.

Under the hood, the BMW M2 Coupe will fit the same engine as the M235i sibling, meaning a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder unit, but with higher power of around 370 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. The performance figures are also worth-mentioning: around 4.0 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, placing it a little bit above the M3 and M4.

Apart from other BMW models to be tested out on different territories, like the recently spied 2016 BMW M2 under the burning sun of California, the carmaker is also reported to work on the new 2 Series Gran Coupe, which might see the daylight somewhere in 2018. It would thus tackle the Mercedes-Benz CLA.

This is a very bold project from BMW, as it seems to develop a niche model, which would complete the 2 Series lineup, standing side-by-side the 2-Series Coupe and Convertible.

We might be looking here about some spy shots provided by AutoGespot, which reveal a four-door coupe standing on a long enough platform to fit a sleek roofline. Other features seen on this particular 2 Series Gran Coupe refer to the short overhangs found at the front and rear, with a lower elongated roofline.

Apart the overall exterior lines which give away the final body language of the upcoming BMW 2 Series Grand Coupe, is the car`s rear-wheel drive layout, which will lead to a better fuel-efficiency and improved driving dynamics and performance.

Speaking about performance, the BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe would share the engine lineup seen on its older coupe and convertible versions, adding up four- or six-cylinder configurations. But more news would be announced at a later date.

BMW is pushing the limits of 2016 F87 BMW M2, the new baby M being heavily tested on the Ring. The proof is yet another spy video with two M2s on the track.

Surely that, before its official production moment set in November, the carmaker is making sure that everything is in the right place with the baby M. This is why the model is being in full testing mode, the engineers assuring that the tuned up suspension or the driving dynamics are perfectly running.

But apart the performance systems, the German based automaker will also make use of the M2`s powertrain, heavily testing its performance capabilities. But the upcoming M2 will hold on to its 3.0-liter TwinPower six-cylinder unit. The engine develops around 370 horsepower and 465 Nm of torque, capable of reaching 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. The topping stands at 250 km/h.

From a visual standpoint, the 2016 F87 BMW M2 will also come with a light enough body style to cope with the performance and, even if the model is rumored not to receive the long-debated carbon fiber roof, it will still be lighter than the M235i Coupe, thanks to the use of the aluminum and carbon fiber composites on other parts of the body, which would make the overall kit look more aggressive and more aerodynamic. Along other hot models to prepare for the market, the MINI British based carmaker has also sent the newest MINI Countryman prototype at Nurburgring for some rough tests, before its official launch as a 2017 year model, somewhere next year.

The 2017 MINI Countryman seen in the spy video below, will be coming in three trims, such as the Cooper, the Cooper S as well as the John Cooper Works, coming with a unique design that would make it stand out from the crowd.

Judging by the video and the spy shots, the 2017 MINI Countryman might be bigger in its final version, the model also adopting a more muscular and rugged look. Under the hood, the new Countryman is also reported to receive some new engines.

We might be dealing with a 3.0-liter four-cylinder unit, fitted on the Cooper S and John Cooper Works, coming with all-wheel drive layout, while the base entry Cooper will receive the 1.5-liter three-cylinder unit, this version coming with a front-wheel drive configuration. No performance specifications are yet revealed.

Apart the 2017 MINI Countryman, BMW`s subsidiary MINI, will also launch the new MINI Convertible and the MINI Clubman, somewhere in the third quarter of the year, with other sports variants that would put off the Coupe and the Roadsters versions.
