The MINI Superleggera Vision Concept has finally arrived at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, previewing the company`s future models.

The MINI Superlegegera Vision Concept will lead the way to the future MINI models, the roadster previewing a futuristic design, coming with an electric drivetrain, also seen on the next-gen BMW i3 electric.

The MINI Superleggera Vision Concept is also the model created and built within the Munich design department from Munich and the Touring Superleggera joint venture.

The MINI Superleggera Vision Concept is thus the embodiment of traditional styling cues present on the Touring Superleggera models along the history, while the futuristic and hexagonal shaped grille, oval shaped headlamps or the bonnet stripes, completes the one-of-a-kind model.

The Superleggera Vision Concept is coming with a classic roadster proportion, tweaking a “long probing nose,” while the cabin is sitting at the back side, shaping the wheelbase and the rear end as well, with a minimal overhang.

The BMW Gerrnan based is thinking big right now, as it stands between the bridge of whether to launch an electric MINI model or stay on the same path, by restricting the model to only seven versions.

The news came from AutoNews online magazine, which quoted Peter Schwarenbauer, the board member at BMW, saying that the new MINI electric would set the new standards in the car`s design as well, but it remains unsure when the electric version would emerge.

“To evaluate all of this, I would say six months at least,” Schwarenbauer also told Reuters on Tuesday, with the occasion of an interview at Cowley Oxford plant on Tuesday.

The idea of producing a MINI electric car was first put into practice at the 2014 Villa d`Estate Concours d`Elegance, when the carmaker launched the MINI Superleggera Vision concept car, which was the longer, two-door version of the standard MINI.

Since the car was long praised for its extraordinary and futuristic design and the clearly distinguishable combination between classic and modern, hence the idea of introducing an upcoming MINI electric version.

After the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept was unveiled at the 2014 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este a couple of weeks ago, a rendering with the beautiful concept was launched on the web, showing it in a coupe body style.

The image launched worldwide with the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept Coupe-like, show us a completely new car, with a whole new body receiving a solid roof.

With the a solid roof-top over the head, the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept looks like the Jaguar F-Type model, and if the coupe will eventually enter the production line, it would be definitely something to chew on.

To be a reminder, the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept launched about two weeks ago at Lake Como, came with a Como Blue finish, featuring some fine crafted soft curves, carbon fiber reinforced plastic side sills and much more.

Inside, the Vision Concept also distinguishes itself amongst the others while tweaking premium leather, aluminum covered dashboard, three-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and so on.

Two pictures with the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept have just hit the web, which are rumored to be the final production version of the model.

The MINI Superleggera was first displayed at the 2014 Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este automotive event, taking place last weekend at Lake Como, Italy.

Now, the shots reveal this amazing off-road concept being rendered by the famous Theophilus Chin designer, who has created the showroom version of the model.

Even if the British automaker hasn`t yet confirmed the possibility of a production version of the Superleggera model, there are no chances for the car to ever hit the market.

As you can see in the two shots being rendered here, the MINI Superleggera Vision Concept is painted in a Como Blue finish, coming with some carbon fiber reinforced plastic side sills.

More tweaks concern a minimalist cabin with aluminum dashboard, premium leather, digital instrument cluster, 3-spoke steering wheel and an analog clock.

As for performance figures and other specs, the company hasn’t yet released any fresh info. Hopefully the MINI automaker will decide a production version and then good news will follow.

The BMW Group`s subsidiary Mini has profited the Concorso d`Eleganza Villa d`Este event to come up with its latest creation, which is the Superleggera Vision Concept.

The Mini British based automaker has set the name for this two-seater convertible in collaboration with the famous design house Touring Superleggera, from Milan, Italy.

Anders Warming, the Chief Design at Mini, has stated that the Mini Superleggera Vision concept is a reiteration of the old time`s “reduction to the essentials”, as the car is now more energetic and with a more minimalists design, just as it used to be.

“At the same time it creates unique emotional beauty in combining the past and future of the automotive industry, i.e. traditional coachwork craftsmanship and modern design styling,” Warming also said.

But the Mini Superleggera Vision concept doesn’t lack technology or modern features, like the hand-crafted body-styling wrapped in carbon fiber, especially at the front splitter, as well as at the side sills.

More than that, the bespoke Como Blue finish is in perfect balance with the Superleggera`s interior, where it received a premium leather upholstery and modern technologies like the digital instrument cluster, as well as the touch sensitive controls.
