No more rumors, no more spied shots with the MINI five-door body style, as the attracting model was revealed some moments ago at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.

The MINI 5-door model is set to be more practical than the 3-door model, coming with some refreshed design cues, still keeping contact with the original model.

The fresh MINI 5-door has a stretched wheelbase with around 72 mm, with bigger boot than now stands at a total of 278 liters.

The MINI 5-door model will come equipped under the hood with the engine lineup also seen on the smaller three-door brother, meaning a 1.5-liter three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo, with 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.

The higher 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo churns out a good 192 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque, in the Cooper S version.

The MINI 5-door will also come with two diesel options, like the 1.5-lite three-cylinder TwinPower Turbo, with 116 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, in the Cooper D version.

The other diesel burner, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder, equips the Cooper SD version, outputting 170 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque, hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed Steptronic automatic, also available on all versions.

According to recent surveys, MINI customers seem to favor the five-door model, instead of the three-doo body style version, even if the latter still continues to sell high worldwide.

Perhaps the reason for this appealing version is the fact that the model is adding a few doors into the stretched body, becoming the first MINI five-door style to be homologated.

Anyway, both the MINI three- and the five-door body styles are coming with interesting features at the body and inside, while under the hood, the engines come with a fuel consumption of 5.9 – 3.6l /km, and combined emissions of 136 – 95 g/km.

The MINI five-door body is also equipped with two petrol and two diesel engines, coming with the company`s TwinPower Turbo Technology, developing between 136 horsepower and 170 horsepower in the MINI Cooper SD 5 door model.

The 2015 F55 MINI was first available with a three-door body style, with the first-gen R52 to reinterpret the “MINI outline” for the first model to be launched in 2001.

The BMW`s subsidiary, the MINI British automaker, will introduce its new Cooper SD model in the United Kingdom next month, the car being priced from £19,450.

The MINI fans will be glad to receive the Cooper SD model in the UK, the new car coming with the BMW`s diesel engine four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo.

The Cooper SD is considered perhaps to sport the most powerful diesel engine ever to be introduced on any MINI version.

Thus, the 2.0-liter four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo diesel engine develops a great 170 horsepower (125 kW) and 360 Nm (265 lb-ft) of torque.

More than that, the Cooper SD`s engine is hooked to a six-speed Steptronic transmission, which is enough to make sure that the MINI Cooper SD proudly sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds.

Another great news for the new MINI Cooper SD is that the model is considered to be fuel-efficient, as it has a consumption of only 4.1L / 100 km, with CO2 emissions standing at 104 g/km.

Apart from that, there are no news concerning modifications at the body style or inside, but expect fresh info soon enough.
