Ever since its unveiling on the market last year, the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia has been a real nightmare to the BMW M3 Sedan, especially the top of the line Giulia QV.

Lots of reviews, official tests, drag races and videos have demonstrated already what the Giulia`s QV can do against the M3, and all that thanks to the car`s impressive power and torque.

Motor Trend auto magazine, which is well-known for its fair drive tests, has pulled over the M3 and decided to take an M3 with Competition Package for a change, and put it against the same Alfa Romeo Giulia QV, hoping that this time, the odds would be on the German`s side. The entire test was recorded on tape and can be seen below.

Initially, the test also comprised two other smashing cars, like the Mercedes-AMG C63 and the Cadillac ATS-V, but since our eyes were on the M3 and Giulia QV, we considered that these two deserved our best attention. The test carried out by the famous magazine highlighted the gorgeous driving capabilities that the M3 with the Competition Package is coming with, making the car extremely dynamic and fun to drive. The first thing you get to notice fresh at the M3 with the CP is the extra power juice and boost.

With the Competition Package, the BMW M3 Sedan feels more alive, getting to enjoy the same 3.0-liter inline straight-six engine, now developing 444 horsepower, and allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Even so, it does not match the Giulia QV`s 2.9-liter twin-turbo engine with as close as 505 horsepower, with the same sprint done in rather the same figure as the M3 Competition Package. Both models come with automatic transmission, adding a rear-wheel drive layout.

However, on track, the M3 Competition Package seems to fall behind the Giulia QV with around 4 tenths, the model managing a lap run in 2:00.61, while the Giulia QV ran the same distance in 2:00.22. And in this business, each millisecond counts.

The slight difference counts when it comes to far more advanced aerodynamics in the QV in favor of superior technology on-board of the M3. So, with no further ado, even if Motor Trend chose the QV, it might remain a consolation for you to watch the video below. It`s well-worth it!

The BMW M2 is ending up in our news again through a report stating that the sports car will be launched in 2016.

The BMW M2 has been rumored and caught on shots for some time and now, a recent report revealed by Autocar, states the upcoming of the model in 2016 in the Cabrio version, while the Coupe will follow shortly.

The BMW M2 Cabrio and the Coupe versions will be powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, not the same found on the M3 and M4, being based on the new BMW 7-Series.

Until its arrival, the engine will be codenamed the S57 B30 and is reported to put out 400 horsepower in both versions, apparently not being as powerful as the M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe.

The BMW M2 will be hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional dual-clutch 7-speed, which would make the car capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, at a top electronically limited speed of 250 km/h.

After being rumored and caught on shots many times, the BMW M2 will be finally showcased at the 2015 NAIAS, Detroit, next January.

We are not talking here about an official confirmation from the German based luxury carmaker, but a recent report released by Auto Express, states the presence of the BMW M2 at the 2014 NAIAS, in Detroit.

The news is also confirmed by Carsten Priest, the chief at the M`s department, mentioning that the M2 will take over the battle left by the 1M Coupe.

The BMW M2 will sport a more aggressive body kit than the M235i, while under the hood, the sports car will pack a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit, also seen on the M3 Sedan, M4 Cabrio and the M4 Coupe.

Even so, this particular model will sport less power, meaning a total output of 374 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, hooked to a 6-speed manual transmission, or the optional 7-speed automatic M DCT.

The BMW M2 might hit its dealerships at the end of the next year.

The BMW M4 Convertible has been recently seen on a commercial, highlighting the way it is driven on a track race, for which it has been banned in the UK.

The reason for being kicked off from UK was that the commercial is apparently promoting a careless and reckless driving on a track race.

The UK is the second country to receive a commercial with a BMW model, with the German carmaker to also launch a video with the M235i sports car in Australia, promoting a reckless driving.

Inside, the new BMW M4 Convertible is sporting the high-performance M gearshift lever, the M badging on the door sills, the M leather on the steering, the illuminated M emblems or the adjustable M seats.

The present BMW M4 Convertible also comes with a more boot space of 370 liters with the roof up and 220 liters with the roof down.

A brand new BMW M4 Coupe crashed today in Munich, Germany, eventually ending up in two trees, due to a 24-year driver that seemed to have lost control of the sportscar.

As seen in the photos, the driver was excessively driving the new BMW M4 Coupe and ended up in some trees, after losing control while trying to get through a corner.

Even if the BMW M4 Coupe model seems to be completely destroyed at the front side, the young and unexperienced driver managed to get away only with just minor injuries and taken to hospital for general investigation.

The new BMW M4 Coupe crashed is taking its power from the same 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit, also found on the M3 Sedan and M4 Cabrio, developing a great total output of 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.

Imagine the power that it sports, as the BMW M4 Coupe is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, the sportscar having a top electronically limited speed at 250 km/h.

The BMW M4 Convertible seen in the shots, is wearing a Mineral Grey Metallic paint job and is addressed to all those fans that really like the exotic M4.

To be a reminder, the BMW M4 Convertible is the little brother of the M4 Coupe and the M3 Sedan, coming in the two well-known colors, namely Yas Marina Blue Metallic and Austin Yellow Metallic.

The BMW M2 was frequently tweaked in shots and little details, but the sportscar has been also rendered in some new shots on the web released by famous X-Tomi, along with some new fresh details.

Now since it is almost a certainty that the M2 is coming, more details are revealed about the car.

The BMW M2 is based on the M235i Coupe version, with the sportscar coming with new aggressive front fascia or the bumpers taken from the M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe siblings.

More than that, the BMW M2 also bares similarities with the two older brothers, like flared wheel arches, carbon fiber roof, or its own tweaks like sporty rear bumper or the quad-exhaust pipe arrangement.

Other goodies refer to the M2`s upgraded brakes, a new high-tech suspension and much more.

Under the hood, the BMW M2 is supposed to be powered by the 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder unit taken from the M235i Coupe.

But this engine tweaks some upgrades as well, that would output the sportscar to a great 380 horsepower or even 400 horsepower. The power is hooked to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The BMW M2 will be fully revealed perhaps at the end of the year.

BMW is on a continuous roll out with its models being spied in shots, as it is also the case of the fresh-new M4 Cabrio being put to some tests on the tracks.

These spy shots indicate that the BMW M4 Cabrio is ready to be unveiled at the 2014 New York Auto Show, due next month, with the model in question being put to some tests first.

The shots reveal the supercar partially wrapped in camouflage, indicating some minor tweaks along with that.

The fresh new BMW M4 Cabrio will have the same 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine as its siblings M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe, outputting a total of 431 horsepower (317kW) and a great torque of 550 Nm (406 lb-ft).

As for acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h, the M4 Cabrio will have similar performance as the M4 Coupe, meaning a 4.1 second sprint.

For now, there are no other details concerning the tweaks the car brings or the changes inside the M4 Cabrio. More will be revealed in April with the occasion of the New York Auto Show.
