Not only China market gets to enjoy the plethora of high-end and long-wheelbase BMW models, the carmaker also delivering luxurious and modified products to Japan as well. It is also the case of this below 7-Series long-wheelbase 750Li version, looking smashing with the Rose Quarts exterior colour.

We are looking here at an exclusive and limited edition – so far we don’t know how many units will be available – which will cost ¥20,190,000, the equivalent of $194,500. The luxurious model will be officially unveiled on the 2th of November, at an event taking place at Ritz-Carlton Osaka hotel.

As we can depict from the photos below, the BMW 7-Series Rose Quarts comes with exclusive features at the exterior as well as inside.

Besides the body wrap from BMW Individual catalog, the car`s main highlights also refer to the standout 20-inch alloy wheels and some fresh styling bits taken from the same catalog.

Inside, the cabin looks extremely luxurious, and even if BMW Japan has not offered us some insights, we still could get our hands on a bunch of details. We are looking here at a wrap-around cabin with fine-grain Merino leather with Smoke White Alcantara roof lining, adding Ash Grain black wood trim with red accents on the dashboard, multi-function leather steering wheel with the same wood trim, and other high-end features from BMW Individual catalog.

The cabin also comes with other tweaks and technology, including the 16-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond surround sound system, Executive Lounge Seating with heated rear seats and massage functions, Sky Lounge panoramic glass sunroof and much more.

Under the hood, the 7-Series Rose Quartz special edition comes with the same 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, delivering 450 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, being sent to the rear axle via a high-performance eight-speed automatic transmission. The model delivers a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a good 4.7 seconds, at a topping of 250 km/h.

As a BMW fan, or even a supporter of the opposition among Mercedes, Audi or Lexus, you’re likely well aware of the fierce fight for sales in this segment.

Over the last few months, BMW’s established lead was starting to get eroded by the fierce competition and their relentless quest to produce new models.

Last month’s results seem to be swinging in a more favorable direction for the Bavarian brand. Sales are up for all, but BMW is running ahead.

Main rivals Audi were up by 12.7 percent for a total of 1.34 million units whereas Mercedes managed 1.19 million, thus growing by 5.1 percent.

These are the statistics that were totalled up over the first eleven months of the year, compared to 2011. Under the same conditions, BMW shifted 1.38 million vehicles (10.9 percent up).

The bulk of those sales came from the more and more popular crossover segment. It was the BMW X1 and that shone once again.

Alongside it however, the brand new F30 3 Series has left its mark on the sales pitch for November. In other words, the bread and butter sedan has done its job properly.

While BMW is on pole position and the race is going strong, there’s no time to rest and take a break with all that oposition breathing down your neck.

Recent incentive efforts have cut BMW’s profit margin by a reported 2.3 percent and might still happen this month for a further reduction.

Another month, another opportunity to look into how well our favorite brand is doing. The news are looking quite good at the end of April.

BMW’s books have managed to score yet another new record. The figures come in at 145.505 vehicles sold for the first time ever by the company.

I should probably make it clear that those are the sales for the BMW Group, not just the infamous roundel brand. This stuff includes Mini and Rolls Royce.

The boost of the BMW Group’s April month is translated in a boost of 6.1 percent compared to the same month of 2011. Widening the search to the first four months of 2012, things look even more impressive.

A total of 571.040 units were sold, making for a 9.8 percent boost over last year when 519.958 units had been sold. This is yet another record for BMW.

We don’t know how many units Rolls Royce managed to sell, but Mini managed some 3.772 units, a boost of 1 percent on top of the previous year’s April figure.

At this point it’s obvious that the largest amount of sales come from the BMW brand itself. No clues are awarded for the locations that attracted the biggest growth spur.

Once again its Asia, particularly the Chinese region, which grew by 30.8% compared to last year’s April. The entire region will have grown by 25.1%.

In terms of model options, the largest growth is attributable to the F20 1 Series and the F30 3 Series at 68.3%, respectively 30.8% on top of 2011’s April.

Did I mention that these results are the ones that keep BMW at the top of the sales pile in the luxury car market.

To some, the best part of the new year arrival is the opportunity to summarize the previous one and see how much money they’ve made or lost during the period.

This is mostly the case for the automotive manufacturers who are now crunching the numbers. In regard to the U.S. market’s most competitive segment, the results are in.

After a very, very close battle with Mercedes, the Bavarians at BMW have won the big prize for premium car sales across last year.

Being a little more specific, the best selling premium brand of the U.S. market in 2011 was BMW.

Our favorite Germans have sold 247.907 units last year, sporting a 13 percent increase on top of the previous one. Not far behind Mercedes have managed to shift 245.231 vehicles.

The difference stands shallow now, but with one month to go, the fight was even closer as just over 1.500 units could have swung the result either way.

Some say that part of the success can be found in how BMW offered a 200 dollar incentive on each car sold in December, a practice Mercedes didn’t join into.

Sure enough, incentives work and BMW knows marketing but I seriously doubt many people are going to buy a premium car just because they get 200 dollars back. That’s the value of one tire in most cases.

Either way you want to swing it, there’s no getting away from the fact that, once again, crown for being the best-selling luxury automaker in America.

If 2011 was a tight battle, don’t expect 2012 to be that much different. In fact, Audi is still expected to start coming from behind, just as Lexus may make a comeback.

BMW is not content with having the global crown for sales in the luxury department, they want to win over the American market by moving them away from Lexus and in order to achieve this they are pushing their BMW Individual program.

Basically what they want stateside buyers to do is to buy a car with what they want on it in terms of trim levels instead of just buying what the dealer has to offer at a particular time. Since the next car they will be launching in the U.S. is the 2011 BMW X3 that will be the one that they plan on starting this car buying revolution with.

This form of sales helps BMW with their projections and inventory but it also helps you get the car you wanted and it is a system that is successfully applied in Europe where almost 50% of all BMW’s sold are custom ordered.

This isn’t as simple as it sounds since Americans enjoy the idea of hitting a dealer showroom and leaving with a car off that lot the same day so if BMW will want the higher profit margins and the reduction in inventory they’ll have to be innovative here.

So in order to make this a reality the new BMW X3’s production will be moved from Austria to the recently expanded Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. Building the crossovers here will allow BMW to drastically cut delivery times and BMW will also be more heavily promoting its factory delivery program and the driving classes it offers at the nearby Performance Driving School.

We’ve all been there, we all know the massive controversy that came along with Chris Bangle’s work at BMW and some still rejoice in knowing that something like the E60 5 Series will never happen again.

In all the Bavarians have announced that they will produce cars that from now on will synchronize with global taste of their customers.

Adrian Van Hooydonk, the man to whom Chris Bangle turned the reigns of BMW design over, stated that the company is looking to consolidate its design language and make its various model stylings more harmonious. Since he took over in 2009 we could see BMW concepts and cars have been looking as discrete, civilized and understated as any die-hard fan would approve of.

At the recent Beijing auto show, Van Hooydonk stated that consolidation is good for the brand because it gives a clearer image of what BMW is. He pointed to the new 5-Series sedan and the Gran Coupe concept as examples, saying they exhibited a more subtle use of the concave and convex, which probably means that while these cars are no longer as straight and boxy as freight locomotives they don’t upset people any more.

While some people rejoice more in this moment than in the launch of a new M5 we should mention that Chris Bangle’s controversial design ideas went into turning BMW from a sports saloon maker with occasional bleeps into coupes into a company with a very successful range of products, wearing a luxury selling crown.

BMW have officially launched the “The BMW Experience”, a special institution that will remind people why they are the best selling luxury company.

Access to such a treat as BMW offer in Munich is hard to find but you can get a totally different experience if you live in America that’s not in any way less interesting.

BMW are showing off their cars, their factory and pretty much every asset they have in Spartanburg County through special tours that can be taken individually or as a group where you get to experience “The Ultimate Driving Machine” in all of its aspects.

You can take a tour of the factory with a personal concierge, you can feast your eyes on the goodies within The BMW Performance Center and The BMW Zentrum while you’re at it. But if you feel that you have more of a get up and go attitude than there is a package that may interest you as well.

All the visits plus a 2-hour driving program which will put you through your paces towards becoming a person that can make proper use of a BMW. Future plans for this treat of an experience include adding to the offer of custom driving excursions, rare vehicle demonstrations and unique culinary events.
