The BMW 3-Series is considered one of the most famous and successful from the entire BMW range, with millions of models being sold out for the last 15 years. Now, a special edition is making its way onto the Australian market.

It is all about the 2016 BMW 3-Series GT LCI (Life Cycle Impulsive), coming in two variants, the 320d GT LCI available from $70,400 as well as the top of the line 330i GT LCI, costing $77,900. Both of them come with improved styling and performance features.

The entry-level 320d comes equipped as standard at the exterior with LED headlamps or the 18-inch alloy wheels, while inside, the cabin greets you with sensatec upholstery, rearview camera, head-up display, side-view mirroring, M suspension package, adding the whole range of safety features, including lane-change warning and driving assistant package.

In case you want extra goodies, then you can choose the Innovation package, available at $2,879 and adding adaptive cruise control, parking assistance, navigation system and so on.

Performance wise, the 320d GT packs a 2.0-liter turbo flat-four diesel engine, with 140 kW and 400 Nm of torque, hooked to an eight-speed automatic, which allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. The CO2 emissions stand at 118 g/km, with the version also burning out 4.5L/100 km.

On the other hand, the much expensive 330i GT packs a 2.0-liter engine with 185 kW and 350 Nm of torque, the version reaching 100 km/h in a good 6.6 seconds. It also burns 6.2L/100 km, while the CO2 emissions stand at 141 g/km.

As for the exterior package, this lad here can be had with the 19-inch alloy wheels, Professional navigation system, Dakota leather, panoramic sunroof or electric lombar supper. For an extra $3,500, you can also get the Innovation Package, adding stop/go, parking assistance, active cruise control and do on.

The BMW 3-Series Sedan hasn’t received a proper attention for quite some time, but now the German based carmaker has finally launched the all-new plug-in hybrid 2017 330e iPerformance in the United States, where can be bought from $44,695 in the entry-level variant.

For that price, you will get the cutting edge technology that a genuine plug-in hybrid has to offer on the market today. The first standout thing is the advanced hybrid system equipping the 330e iPerformance, consisting of a four-cylinder gasoline engine tweaked with BMW`s TwinPower Turbo and an e-drive electric motor. The entire hybrid powertrain is backed by a 7.6 kWh lithium-ion battery.

The performance figures are quite impressive for a hybrid version: 248 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque, allowing an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a fine 5.9 seconds, at a topping of 140 km/h.

Another standout feature is that the high-voltage battery allows a range of 14 miles, at a top speed of 75 mph. After that, you can use the car`s i Walbox Level II 240V charger to refill the battery at any power socket within two hours and 30 minutes.

Besides the good performance figures, the 2017 BMW 330e iPerformance also comes with a rear-wheel drive layout, an eight-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission with shift paddles, and two driving modes: Sport and Sport+.

The BMW M4 GTS was unveiled online about a month ago and now the carmaker has officially presented the M4`s hardcore version at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show.

As previously discussed, the BMW M4 GTS will be built in a limited edition of just 700 units, out of which 300 will head to the United States, where it will have a base price of $160,000. In Germany the model is already available from 142,600 euros. It will be the main competitor of the Porsche 911 GT3, coming with rather the same pricing tag and performance under the hood.

From a visual standpoint, the BMW M4 GTS will be available in four colors, the Sapphire Black Metallic, Frozen Dark Grey Metallic, Mineral Grey Metallic and the Alpine White. The carbon fiber body style will feature adaptive LED headlights, OLED taillights, revised and more aggressive front and rear bumpers and so on. The overall design is complemented by the 19- and 20-inch front and rear alloy wheels, all four wearing the high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 rubbers.

Inside, the model will wear the M signature on the door sills, footrest, gearshift lever, sports steering wheel, along with the the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line trim.

In the engine department, the BMW M4 GTS will fit a 3.0-liter flat-six engine with water injection technology, the same one seen on the BMW M4 MotoGP Safety Car. The engine develops 500 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, at a topping of a limited 305 km/h.

One of the coolest cars from the 2-Series, the M235i, has been recently launched in Netherlands in a special and limited edition, called the M235i Track Edition. The company has announced some slight details, with no pricing tags revealed for the moment!

The BMW M235i Track Edition is a special one as it comes fitted with the M Performance kit, which means that the model is now looking sportier.

The M Performance kit consists of an updated bootlid spoiler and side skirts, wider splitter and customized rear diffuser. The overall body style is also complemented by the new 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels which provide a greater stance and sportier look.

The cabin of the BMW M235i Track Edition is also looking fresh, thanks to the Alcantara on the steering wheel, racing display, sports seats all wrapped in leather, stainless steel and a few more tweaks.

No performance upgrades were announced under the hood, where the BMW M235i Track Edition is still packing the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder unit, with 326 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

This is enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, at a topping of 250 km/h. The power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic transmission.

BMW has recently launched a limited edition of the 2016 4-Series 435i ZHP Coupe, the model being available in just 100 units. The model is a special one because it is a tribute paid to the first ZHP package that used to equip the former E46 3-Series.

And since we are talking about a limited edition, the 2016 BMW 435i ZHP Coupe will come with a lot of upgrades at the body, thanks to the wide range of the BMW M Performance accessories, while under the hood, the model will also pack an upgraded engine as well.

Speaking about performance features, the 2016 BMW 435i ZHP Coupe has been installed with the Variable Sport Steering, the M Sport brakes, Adaptive M Suspension, stainless steel exhaust system and a few more. Under the hood, the upgrades are visible due to the M Performance Kit, meaning an optimized ECU or new air intake.

The 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine under the hood is now capable of producing 335 horsepower and 449 Nm of torque. The model is thus 0.2 faster than the stock BMW 4-Series 435i model.

The 2016 BMW 435i ZHP Coupe is easily recognizable thanks to the Alpine White exquisite finish, with the possibility of also choosing the Black Sapphire Metallic exterior finish. And this Alpine WHite paintjob is perfectly complementing the M Performance aerodynamic body package, which comes with a carbon fiber spoiler, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, as well as the fitting of the M Performance badging on the body. Prices will be revealed later on.

Behold the upcoming 2016 F48 BMW X1 seen here in new renderings, the model which is ready to be unveiled in a couple of weeks and enter production this summer. We will also get the chance to buy it later on, this autumn. These renderings here are given us a clue on how the model will look like, as they are pretty close to the final production version, since it was first previewed in a couple of spy shots as well as leaks images coming from China.

The 2016 F48 BMW X1 will look fresh, with some body styling features resembling its sibling 2-Series Active Tourer. This means that the new X1 will be more aggressive, thanks to the larger kidney grille, the Air Breathers on both sides as well as the more sculpted hood.

Apart from these, the 2016 F48 BMW X1 will also sport wide air intakes at the front bumper, more gorgeous headlights, while at the back, the model will get the traditional BMW L-shaped taillights which have received the new LED strips.

Inside, the new X1 will come with more space, as well with a lot of high-tech gizmos, and this is courtesy to the front-wheel drive layout. Later on, BMW also plans a stretched wheelbase, especially built for China. More information on the 2016 F48 BMW X1 will be revealed at the time of its unveiling in a couple of weeks!

Those unlucky Americans, particularly those living in the United States there of, they’ll never have the chance to buy one of the F20 M135i models.

In order to compensate for this unfortunate situation, BMW will be selling them either of these; a 135is Coupe or a 135is Convertible.

The only thing is that they don’t look like a brand new F20 1 Series but the older E82/E88 generation. The reason is quite simple, the newer version is not ready.

In the United States at America there’s no hatchback version of the 1 Series, only the coupes and convertibles are available and there’s quite a following of the 1 Series M Coupe.

Getting back to the new releases, both the drop top and the two door coupe are powered by the same newly refreshed 3.0 liter straight six cylinder engine.

We’re looking at the TwinPower Turbo side of 317 pound-feet of torque here and they come along side a neatly packed 320 horsepower.

That’s a bump of 20 horsepower and 17 lb-ft of torque over the previous generation and, of course, you’ll be able to specify it with the newly introduced M Performance parts soon.

Even without those, the BMW 135i is quite the great handling machine. It gets a revised sport suspension as standard, new 18 inch alloy wheels with a fresh set of tires to make for more grip.

Excluding the $895 destination charges, BMW will put you in a 135is if you’ll pay a starting price of $44.195 for the coupe and $44.895 for the convertible.

It will be a short while before M Performance stuffs their fastest diesel powerplant into the stunning F13 BMW 6 Series so the Bavarians have a “momentary” solution.

Entitled the BMW 640d xDrive, it’s the first coming together of the diesel engine and the all wheel drive solution in a 6 Series.

We’re all familiar with the xDrive system and what it can do and the powerplant isn’t a stranger to us either since it’s the N57.

In one of its most famous tunes, the 640d xDrive gets 313 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque from the N57. That’s generally more than plenty but something should be mentioned.

Even though the N57 is one of the finest diesels out there, it compromises the sports car side of the BMW 6 Series. You can still push it around but you’ll get the feeling that cruising is what it wants to do best.

As it is, the 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged inline six cylinder diesel will combine itself with the xDrive system to get the F13 BMW 640d from 0 to 62 in just 5.2 seconds and it’ll gladly hit a top speed of 155 mph.

The performance is more than decent but the fuel economy is staggering for a big GT car. On the EU testing cycle, the new F13 BMW 640d xDrive can manage more than 41 mpg.

Carbon emissions are also low with less than 153 g of CO2 per km being emitted. A few extra details on the newest addition to the 6 Series family will be available at the Geneva Motor Show.

We expect some shots of the convertible 6er by then as well.
