            </div><h2>In today`s fast development auto industry, there are plenty of carmakers that join forces in order to create new technologies that would make their future models, greener, more powerful and more fuel-efficiency.</h2>
<p>The latest example of such joint venture is the recent collaboration between BMW and McLaren, which come with the sole purpose of developing a new powertrain with as low CO2 emissions as possible and increase performance. Also, the UK government has announced its support in this project by allowing access to the Advanced Propulsion Centre and involving other six supply and manufacturing partners. </p>
<p>BMW and McLaren will thus benefit the help of Grainger, Worrall or Ricardo, which will provide the necessary technology, materials and much more in order to carry out the joint venture`s complex project.  </p>
<p><span id="more-59354"></span></p>
<p>Mike Flewitt, CEO at McLaren Automotive has better explained the whole project within a recent interview: </p>
<p><em>“This is an exciting project that plays to the strengths of all partners. McLaren Automotive has an exceptional reputation for building the world’s finest engines… we will continue to independently design and build our own engines, and the benefits of this project will help us accelerate the development of our next generation of powertrain, as confirmed in our recently-announced Track22 business plan.”</em></p>
<p>The high-performance combustion engine might be fitted underneath the future replacement of the F1, slotted to arrive on the market in 2019, the model coming with a three-seat configuration. Once set for production line, the V8 engine is reported to develop a whopping 750 horsepower, with a production line of just 106 units. </p>
