The Germans specialists from G-Power decided to take care of the 2011 BMW X5 by developing a new tuning kit. For this new package, the specialists opted for the xDrive48i version which is powered by a 4.8-liter unit able to develop 525 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque after the modifications. These figures are mainly achieved thanks to the new SK III “Sporty Drive” supercharger which also makes the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h possible in 4,7 seconds.

This might not sound too impressive but we should remember that we talk about a heavy model which obviously needs more power. The German tuner claims that the tuned X5 is able to hit a top speed of 275 km/h as well.

Besides the new supercharger system, G-Power installed a carbon intake air duct along a high-performance air cooling system and a new exhaust system with catalysts and racing headers.

As you observed from the photos above, there are some aesthetic improvements too. From the list we can mention the new bonnet, side skirts, a subtle rear wing and of course the front and rear bumpers. A set of new 23-inch alloy wheels fitted with high-performance tires complete the new tuning package.

I have to say that this is what I call tuning, just how I like from the video games. From the purple window tints to the cool bumpers it looks just great. I was also missing a tuning and you should notice that it passed some time from the last tuning from BMW.

This tuning was named “Typhoon Black Pearl”. So this Typhoon Black Pearl comes with a 4.8 liters V8 engine being able to develop up to 625 horsepower. This new Typhoon Black Pearl is able to reach 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds while the top speed is at 300 kilometers per hour.

This Typhoon Black Pearl comes with new front fascia, hood, wider fenders, diffuser, spoiler, side skirts and 23 inch black alloy wheels. Anyway, the cool things stop here because this Typhoon Black Pearl is priced at $415,000 but for me it still looks good excluding the price.

I have to tell you that these tunings are awesome, I fell in love with them especially with the tuning for BMW X6 M because as we all know, BMW X6 has a very hot, sexy and attractive design comparing it to BMW X5 but at the same time we can’t say that this car is ugly.

Taking in consideration the fact that both cars are looking more than great without a tuning, now they are gorgeous because this tuners made a great job with both cars but as I previously said, the tuning for BMW X6 M is looking best.

Oh, there is another great thing namely that these are tunings of the M versions of the cars (as I said in a previously post, these are going to be launched in January) so that the performances are even greater namely that now these cars will be able to develop up to 600 horsepower which is tremendous.
