The BMW X2 is ending up in our news again, with the model to be launched online in two new renderings signed by the famous designer Theophilus Chin.

The BMW is continuously working on its compact crossover lineup, preparing to launch the future X2 model, especially since the sporty crossover was caught on shots while wearing some camouflage on public roads.

This time, the BMW X2 is not just a mere imagery exercise, as the model will eventually come, perhaps taking its inspiration from these two renderings, with the model to receive a sloping roof line in a three-door body.

Rumors say that the future BMW X2 will come with a front-wheel drive layout, presently found on the 2-Series Active Tourer.

The upcoming X2 will be based on the new-gen X1 as well, which is set to be launched in a few years, with the X2 following shortly.

In terms of technology, it would be logical that the BMW X2 will also come tweaked with the same gizmos inside as its bigger brother, the X1.

The BMW M4 was put face to face with its direct competitors, the Porsche Cayman PDK and the Audi RS5, a race which was set out by guys from AutoExpress.

We are talking about an embodiment of pure power as all three supercars have a lot to deliver, especially when there are also some similarities in terms of high performance.

Let`s take for instance the M4 and the RS5, which share the same dimensions, as well as rather the same power, with just 19 horsepower between the two of them.

On the other side, the drive layout is rather different, as the Audi RS5 stands on an all-wheel drive system, while the M4 remains the perfection of the BMW`s front-wheel drive layout.

The Cayman is somehow left behind, as it needs a little bit more performance to take out the BMW M4 and the Audi RS5, since the first one comes with a 7-speed DCT which makes it fly on the track, while the latter, the RS5 is tweaked with a 7-speed S-tronic DCT.

As you have imagined so far, the BMW M4 finally succeeded to overcome its toughest competitors, the Porsche Cayman PDK and the Audi RS5.

The BMW German based luxury automaker is presently testing the fresh FAST model on the public roads, an occasion for spy photographers from Inautonews online publication to catch it on camera.

Don’t think of the BMW FAST as a really fast vehicle, as the name stands for Family Active Sports Tourer and will actually join the front-wheel drive layout family.

The new BMW Fast is based on the 2-Series Active Tourer platform, unveiled at the beginning of the year, and will represent the seven-seater version of the aforementioned model, bearing the 2-Series Family Tourer name.

We are talking as well about a mixture between the 2015 BMW X1 also recently spied, the Audi A3 Sportback and the Range Rover Evoque, with also similar features taken from the Mercedes-Benz B-Class.

The BMW FAST vehicle will be getting the front-wheel drive, being also expected to come with a higher price than the 2015 BMW X1, which is due next year.

As far as the engine lineup goes, we are talking about 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder turbocharged engines, with power to range between 100 horsepower and 230 horsepower.
