European Auto Source is the real professional in providing one-off tuning programs for a lot of BMW models. And the F10 BMW 5-Series fitted with the M-Sport package is the perfect example of beauty meeting power. Even if there were not upgrades carried out under the hood, this model has received the best aftermarket parts in terms of body language.

The F10 BMW 5-Series has received a carbon fiber aero kit, the structure being reinforced with the Autoclaved Pre-Preg carbon fiber. Other elements include the fitting of the lip spoiler, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler, all of them from carbon fiber materials, providing this one off 5-Series with a body stiffness and perfect stance on the road.

But the work is still not complete. The aftermarket specialists from the European Auto Source tuning company have also installed what they like to do best: a customized set of V-FF 102 wheels, from the one and only Vorsteiner tuning division. Sized 20×9.5 and 20×10.5 front and rear, the V-FF wheels provide the model with a unique look.

Apart from that, the Vorsteiner V-FF 102 wheels, also increase the performance of the sports car, assuring more grip on the track, along with the newly fitted twin-double pipe exhaust system for a more impressive engine sound. As stated earlier, no power upgrade have been performed under the hood. After all, why spoiling something already good?

By now it is well known that the Dubai Police force owns a wide variety of rare, expensive or at the very least interesting (see Renault Twizy) vehicles.

The latest to join the ranks is an F10 BMW 5 Series, draped in the already famous white and green paint job.

As most BMW 5 Series owners would agree, the vehicle is a quality build, executed by the German car maker in their traditional premium manner. But still, we have to wonder why the Arabs decided to pick this particular version. It is not ever the M5 variant, and if you compare it to other cars in the pool, like the Aston Martin One-77 or the McLaren 12C, the Bimmer seem a tad out of place.

It doesn’t even have that certain comedy air about it like the Renault Twizy the police force also acquired. It seems that expanding the vehicle lineup has become quite a fad for Dubai, as the Youtube and Twitter accounts seem to suggest. They have begun showing off their latest additions, and the video of the F10 BMW 5 Series is just below.

Skipper is a Japanese tuning house which decided to develop a new package for the F10 BMW 5 Series. At this time, there are only few official photos with no further details but we expect to see the model at the Tokyo Auto Salon this week.

As these few shots reveal, Skipper’s tuning kit includes a new front lip spoiler, larger alloy wheels, a rear diffuser and a roof spoiler.

There is no doubt that the new parts are made of lightweight carbon fiber, so you don’t have to worry about any significant extra weight.

Under the hood sits a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine capable to deliver 181 horsepower. Considering the fact that the Japanese tuner released no details about any performance tweaks, we are assuming that the powerplant remains untouched for now.

We are keeping an eye on the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon which is currently happening as an official debut is very likely to occur.

BMW decided to reveal a new series of M Performance Parts which will be available in the United States for the current generations of the 3 and 5 Series.

The F30 BMW 3 Series benefits from several exterior styling tweaks including new front splitter, rear diffuser, spoiler and rocker panel blades. Inside, customers will find carbon fiber brake handle, a new M Performance Electronic Steering Wheel, special floor mats and stainless steel exhaust system.

Last but not least, there will be new 20-inch alloy wheels, a new Brembo brake system and a retuned suspension fitted with improved coil springs lowering the ground clearance by 10mm.

The F10 BMW 5 Series also gets an M Sport Package Retrofit kit, a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser. A new set of alloy wheels fitted with Bridgestone Potenza RE050 A tires is available as well.

At the interior, BMW provides stainless steel pedals, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and carbon fiber trim.

The latest announcement from BMW is rather worrying as they claim the new F10 BMW 5 Series has sold out in all the markets it’s been made available.

The new BMW 5 Series entered the European market about a month ago and the U.S. market just over a week ago and yet all the lots went out already. Happily since this isn’t a limited edition, you can still get one, you will however have to wait for about three months or so to put one in your driveway.

Ian Robertson, BMW’s sales boss was present at an industry press conference in Bilbao, Spain today were he made this information available to the public along with statements according to which the Bavarians were expecting something like this to happen since the 5 Series is a BMW core product and the F10’s less controversial styling when compared to the previous generation would see more market appeal.

Besides the styling there’s another important appeal of this BMW 5 Series, it shares almost 70% of its technology with the company’s flagship model, the BMW 7 Series. As an additional success item, analysts believe that the new 5-er is ‘stealing’ market share from Audi’s A6 because it will be soon replaced by an all-new model and customers are put off by the idea of buying a new premium car that’s almost already outdated.

BMW have made an announcement yesterday in which they presented a price list which is of great interest to those who fancy a 5 Series with all wheel drive.

The 2010 F10 BMW 5 Series with xDrive won’t be available until October this year but having an idea of what to expect is always going to come in handy.

Let’s start from the beginning and make clear what you get for your money, before we actually say how much of it you’re going to need. The xDrive all wheel drive system available on the new F10 BMW 5 Series can utilize individual braking on the rear wheels to send torque to either side as needed to counteract any form of oversteer or understeer.

Then there’s the work of the the central clutch pack which is set by default to send 80 percent of the torque to the rear axle to minimize understeer and retain BMW’s familiar driving dynamics, and this ratio is only broken to the front when traction is running low.

It has to be said that while the new xDrive BMW is offering for the 5 Series is expected to be epic it most likely won’t be as good as the system available on the bigger brothers such as the X6 and X5. That said though, you do get a hill descent control system that will maintain a constant speed when going down a slippery grade.

Tempted yet? Well, you’ll have to dish out at least $52,775 for the 535xi or a minimum of $62,875 for the 550xi.

It’s pretty much common knowledge that diesel engines aren’t first on the list of preferences for the American market or the legislation that prevails in the United States of America.

However, more and more diesel engines manage to leap the Atlantic and land a place in the North American market. A perfect example would be how the 2011 BMW 5 series will be bringing in such an engine stateside.

Something about diesel engines made available on the F10 BMW 5 Series has been rumored along for quite some time now and for a few hours now it’s been a definite fact.

A BMW official has made the confirmation of a diesel variant while in an interview with Inside Line. While this is good news, as if diesels are to make into the U.S. they have to be excellent and these new generation of diesel engines BMW is offering are just that, the official wouldn’t dish out addition details, not even which engine will actually be available.

In order not to keep us completely blinded while waiting we do know that it will be one of the diesel engines available in Europe for the 2011 BMW 5 Series. Most experts would bet on the 535 d being the lucky entrant to the exclusive market as it’s 3 liter engine develops 245 horsepower and a maximum torque of 398 lb-ft.

Figures such as these push acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in 6.3 seconds and keep the car relentlessly pulling further until it reaches an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph.

The F10 BMW 5 Series has one eagerly expected model besides the M5 version.

It is of course, the hybrid that has just been spotted “driving round town” recently. You may note that unlike most BMW cars in testing, this one doesn’t feature heavy camouflage but rather discrete line concealers.

This sort of camouflage is not because BMW don’t really care enough about it any more it’s most likely because they know that enough F10 5 Series have gotten public images so it’s not worth the trouble anymore.

If the exterior may seem familiar the underpinnings of this car however don’t seem to fall under the same etiquette as this car will most likely borrow technology from the ActiveHybrid concept and just as that car the future 5 Series hybrid should be sporting a 3 liter inline six diesel engine teamed up with a 40 kw electric motor.

The eight speed automatic gearbox should also be in the mix in an effort to create a car with efficiency in mind. Some very typical BMW features will be the placement of the lithium ion battery and engine to such relative positions that they don’t spoil the weight distribution.

That electric power may not get you a long way on batteries only but it could give you some extra torque should you need it an overtaking maneuver.
