After the arrival of the bigger and much more stylish X4 M40d sibling, the German based carmaker has also announced the introduction of the same variant from the X3, with sales to commence this July. Prices haven’t been yet released but we expect fresh news in the upcoming period.

Compared to last year`s model, the new 2019 BMW X3 M40d is much bigger, wider and enhanced with even more technological gizmos inside the cabin. However, the big news is that this year`s model is enhanced with more power.

Dealing with the G01 BMW X3 M40d, the gorgeous model comes with a B57 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine, developing a good 326 horsepower and impressive 680 Nm of torque, available at as low as 1,750 rpm. On the other hand, its brother in arms the X3 M40i comes with 370 horsepower and only 500 Nm of torque, the latter one being tenth second faster.

This means that the 2019 BMW X3 M40d performs a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically-limited to 250 km/h, just like most of the carmaker`s new model lineup. The power is sent to all four corners via an eight-speed automatic transmission, the same which gears up its M40i sibling, too.

Even if it packs a 3.0-liter displacement with such important performance figures, power and torque, the new X4 M40d seems to be highly-efficient in terms of fuel consumption. It thus manages a combined consumption of just 6.5L/100 km, while the CO2 emissions combined don’t exceed 169 g/km.

As for exterior visuals, the new BMW X4 M40d is easily standing out from the crowd with the M Sport package, which enhances its aggressive looks. The most important highlights are the Cerium Gray exterior accents, as well as the 20-inch alloy wheels now coming with M Sport brakes. The model is standardly equipped as well with M Sport suspension system and variable sports steering system.

Officially unveiled at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, the all-new BMW M3 CS has finally made its way onto the European market, the car`s exclusive design and interior being highlighted in the amazing media gallery below.

Unfortunately for BMW M3`s purists, this is a limited-run model of just 1,200 units, with 550 units heading to the United States, and the rest in Europe.

Compared to the standard M3 – which again, will seize its existence this June due to the new WLTP regulations – the new M3 CS is around 50 kg lighter, thanks to the extensive use of CFRP (carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. That means increase performance and less fuel consumption.

Visually, the model looks partially more like the M4 GTS than the standard M3, due to the new rear diffuser and rear spoiler. There is also the dual-branch sports exhaust system with four tailpipes, adding as well a choice of 19- or 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubbers.

The cabin has also been refreshed with two-tone Merino leather sport seats, CS badging all around, Alcantara accents, as well as iDrive infotainment system with GPS navigation, and the high-performance Harman Kardon audio system.

Performance wise, the BMW M3 Club Sport is equipped with the same 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine which now produces 453 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. It comes standard with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission system, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, at a top speed of 280 km/h.

I consider the limited-run BMW M3 Club Sport a tribute paid to the gorgeous and iconic BMW M3, which will be put off this June. However, BMW purists will still be able to enjoy the extraordinary capabilities of its bigger brother, the M4, as the carmaker decided to keep it on the market and fit it with a new particulate filter in order to comply with the harsh WLTP rules.

BMW is currently developing lots of interesting new and high-end models, especially in the SUV sector, where the X7 is set to arrive next year, while the G01 X3, also seen in recent spy photos, is getting ready for official debut this autumn.

According to recent reports, the G01 BMW X3 will arrive in European dealerships this autumn, as a 2018 MY, the exquisite SUV standing on the company`s new rear-wheel drive flexible modular architecture, meaning that the 100 kg weight loss will add more comfort, increase performance and less fuel-consumption. This is the same architecture that will also be found on the new X5 and X7.

Overall, the design language of the new 2018 G01 X3 will be carry over from the current X3, yet will adopt a more aggressive look thanks to the revised styling lines.

We are dealing here with a more aggressive attitude highlighted by the new front bumper, lower roofline at the rear, one-piece tailgate, all contributing to the car`s increased aerodynamics. Also, the car`s new design is also adjusted to meet the new pedestrian safety regulations.

As for the interior, this will be more high-tech and fully-tweaked with the latest gadgetries, adding increase space and better materials all-around.

Under the hood, expect to see rather the same engines as in the 3-Series, including the brand-new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine, as well as a wide range of four-cylinder units, and plug-in hybrids. We should also wait for the long-rumored full-electric X3 by the end of the decade.

In case you were also wondering what would happen to the X3 M more potent version, well there is good news as well. We should see it on the market with a more wider and aggressive styling package, with more performance as well.

The all-new 2017 BMW 5-Series Touring was announced on the market starting this month, the model being already previewed in the first videos, which highlight its gorgeous exterior, technology inside and impressive engine lineup.

Now, BMW manufacturer has also announced the prices that the 5-Series Touring will be coming in Europe dealerships, starting this summer, along with plethora of styling parts, also available at extra costs. All versions come with petrol burners and diesels, each one with different engines and power.

Speaking of petrol burners, the 530i comes with a price of €52,300 for which you get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, with 252 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque; the 540i xDrive on the other hand, costs no less than €62,800, and comes with a with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder with 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

In the diesels side, the first to arrive in dealerships is the entry-level 520d, priced at €47,770, and coming with lots of new standard equipment, which in the previous model with come at extra costs. This particular model comes with a 2.0-liter flat-four engine, with 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, being sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission as standard, as well as an optional eight-speed manual gearbox. Next in kin is the 530d, the diesel coming with a 3.0-liter inline six with 265 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque, for which you will have to pay €56,800 for the rear-wheel variant and €59,400 for the all-wheel drive version.

As for the plethora of standard equipment, at the exterior, all variants get LED headlights or the one-off 17-inch alloy wheels, while inside you get to enjoy the 8.8-inch display, climate control system, business navigation, and so on.

Besides the standard equipment, BMW is also offering some attractive packages – the M Sport Package at €4,600 – €5,500; the Innovation Package at €2,950 and available with Head-Up Display or multifunctional instrument display; ConnectedDrive navigation package at €2,200, Adaptive Drive package at €3,550, as well as the integral steering and steering system, both coming at €1,250.

When BMW decided to go front-wheel drive with the new 2-Series Active Tourer and Grand Tourer, that was a risky decision but it seems that the German carmaker knows how to gamble.

And we could tell that it hit the jackpot, as both models are selling extremely well in Europe, managing a third place, after Citroen and Volkswagen Touran.

JatoDnamics via AutoNews has issued a recent report according to which BMW managed to sell 77,644 of the 2-Series Active Tourer and Grand Tourer models in the European Union and Europe Free Trade Association, or simply put EFTA, being outrun only by Citroen with the C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso, with 85,390 units, as well as by Volkswagen Touran, with 88,169 vehicles.

In case you want to know which carmaker takes fourth place in Europe and EFTA, this is occupied by Ford, with the C-MAX and Grand-Max, with 64,016 units sold, shortly followed by Mercedes-Benz B-Class, with 56,325. The account refer to the period between January and September.

As a reminder, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer & Grand Tourer were officially launched at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, both versions being the first ones to come with a front-wheel drive, a premiere which seemed to upset BMW customers that loved the rear-wheel drive setup.

Both versions stand on the company`s new UKL front-wheel drive platform, the same one found on the all-new X1 or MINI models, meaning that they come with improved and more lightweight materials and increase space inside for passengers and their luggage.

For the last month, the upcoming of the 2018 BMW X7 has created quite a stir, the model being the subject of long debates, rumors, reports or online renderings.

But a couple of days back, officials from the German based carmaker have decided to give us some clues on the most luxurious and biggest SUV ever built by BMW.

First, we found out the model is currently under development, getting ready to make its appearance in 2018. The news was also confirmed by BMW USA CEO Ludwig Willisch who also stated that the model is expected to be launched in Europe as well.

Extremely big, at least on a metaphorical level, the 2018 BMW X7 would be too large to fit the usual European roads, except those from the biggest capitals like Paris, London or Rome.

Second, Car Advice have recently contacted Mark Werner, BMW Australia CEO, who stated that the X7 would also become available on the hot continent, thus joining it`s smaller sibling, the X5, which would compensate the lack of a third row seat.

Speaking about a third option row, otherwise not seen on the X5, Werner also said: “The take-up rate of the third row option on the X5 is considerably low. Certainly from our market research, it very clearly tells us that there is room for an even bigger SUV in our product line-up, and that the feedback we receive from our customers is that they want more space.”

Once it will be launched on the market, the 2018 BMW X7 will go against the Cadillac Escalade, Rance Rover, Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade.

BMW M6 Coupe has always created a big fuzz whenever seen on the streets, and that because of its aggressive and muscular body language. And when wrapped with some odd yet funky exterior paintjobs, the attention from the street is even higher. It is also the case of this pink BMW M6 spotted parked in Europe.

I can`t say that this particular model is a killer, but it is pretty attractive, considering that it has received the gentle touch of the G-Power tuning company, judging by the logo fitted under the side gills and rear end. At a closer look, there are no upgrades carried out at the body, but we might depict some upgrades under the hood as well as the newly fitted exhaust system with four tailpipes!

Even if we are not sure of the power upgrade carried out under the hood from the G-Power tuning division, we could imagine an upgraded throttle up to 740 horsepower, for the same stock 4.4-liter V8 unit, fitted with the BMW`s M TwinPower Turbo technology, which goes as far as 560 horsepower in the stock model.

November hasn’t been with us for that long. Despite this, I’m willing to bet you’ve heard at least 10 stories about financial problems so far this month.

Sure enough, there are plenty of problems out there and there are some serious bits of number crunching that need to be done before everything straightens out.

This is an effect that has washed away with most of the dreams and ambitions of the automotive industry for this and the following couple of years or so.

BMW meanwhile seem to not be affected by the situation as the Bavarians are telling us they don’t plan to change their original prediction.

Given their latest sales results, it seems that there’s just no point in telling people they’re not hoping to grow or turn certain profits anymore.

Currently they’re on the rise, they’re still keeping the opposition in the rear view mirror and there’s no point in adapting to the economy just to lose out to them.

BMW Chief Financial Officer, Friedrich Eichiner, went on record as talking about these results and predictions and there was something impressive to consider.

It seems that he considers the European market still in it. The company’s very diversified lineup of products, will have adapted to the small market quite well.

In fact, he thinks that BMW will do so well against the stress of the European market, that he genuinely expects it to grow.

That sounds remarkable and since most analysts reckon it’s a big mistake, that kind of sounds like a bit of good news for me. It’s rare to see optimism these days.

Given the company’s ever constant presence at the top of the luxury car market pile you’d have to admit that BMW knows a little bit about finances.

So what do they have to tell us right about now on the sales and profits fronts? Well, something rather unexpected.

The Bavarian company’s economic leaders have come forward to Reuters about the ongoing competition in their segment and the way incentives play through.

At the moment the world’s markets are steadying out and going for the rise. Well at least most of them are and in the meantime Europe is still a cause for concern.

Friedrich Eichiner, BMW’s finance chief says that due to the pressures Europe, particularly the countries where the economy is at risk, the incentive wars will rage on.

There’s not only the guarantee of incentive battle to keep on going, there’s also the matter of not having a predictable end.

Despite this, Eichiner claims BMW is more than prepared to go to war. After having registered an amazing year in 2011, the company’s financial service has rounded up some interesting numbers as well.

Last year they reserved a risk provision of around 100 million euros in preparation. Most of the funds are likely to go to the eastern part of Europe if economies don’t keep on growing path over there.

In conclusion, there was a little bit of bragging. As proof of how well BMW understands the changing luxury car market they’ve announced a trivia figure for 2011.

Last year BMW registered $4.12 billion earnings before interest and tax. Even for a big car maker, that’s quite a lot of money.

The latest model, the quickest, the finest, whatever else you may want from the newest BMW you can have that in just about any town during regular business hours.

However, if you’ve been bit by the nostalgia bug, you’ll find that getting spare parts for older models is a little bit tricky. We’re not talking one or two generations behind but the origins of BMW.

The Bavarians have thought of this and decided to set up an online store where you can get original parts for whatever classic BMW you have. You can even get spares for a classic motorcycle.

This new shop is available only in Germany right now and can be accessed through two portals, be it the English one or the German one for their homeland.

Expansion of part availability throughout Europe will happen sometime in April of this year. It seems that this spring is something to look forward to if you have a classic BMW in your garage.

BMW didn’t say anything about North American availability any time soon but we’re guessing it’s not going to be too much trouble to make it happen.

Before anything, you’ll need to register at these shops so you can view the full classic part catalog and that sounds like a pain.

It is worthwhile though, BMW will not only make the parts needed, but also inspect every one of them before delivery.

At this time, the BMW Classic part catalog includes 35.000 items and can help owners of any vintage bimmer built between 1960 and 1990.
