The BMW Groups feels more secured now, when the third generation of the BMW 6 Series has made its important contribution.

We are talking about approximately 26,000 units to be sold in 2013 leaving the Dingolfing plant towards destinations around the world.

Also, in March last year, the BMW plant celebrated the start of the manufacturing of the most exclusive vehicle from the 6 Series, namely the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, the most outstanding four-door luxury coupe.

“Each vehicle represents an individual customer wish. And with this vehicle, the nine-millionth car made in Dingolfing, we have made your customer wish come true,” said Robert Kussel, Head of Assembly at Dingolfing plant.

The BMW M635 CSi made history with its top speed of 255 km/h, becoming the fastest BMW four-seater version of all.

In the years that followed, BMW managed to add new versions to the 6 Series, like the Coupe, the Convertible, the M variants, as well as the Gran Coupe in question.

To go back, the 6 Series has had a wonderful history and tradition at the Dingolfing plant, starting in 1978, with the production of the BMW 653 CSi, followed shortly by the BMW M635 CSi.
