Getting Car Shipping from Car Auctions – 3 Step Process

Carrier Retrieves Vehicle from Auction Lot	Arrange for the carrier to pick up the vehicle, coordinating with the auction house for smooth access.

Why USA Auto Auction Shipping Quotes Are Higher Than Regular Shipping?

When getting auto auction transport services in the USA, you’ll often find that the auto shipping quotes are higher than regular vehicle transportation. Here’s why:

Time-Sensitive Nature

Purchases from auctions require vehicles to be delivered on a strict timeline, often within a matter of days.

This time-sensitive nature means that transportation providers must be able to accommodate tight schedules, which can lead to higher pricing to account for the expedited logistics and scheduling challenges.

Specialized Handling

Vehicles sold at auctions can vary significantly in their condition, from pristine to requiring significant repairs.

Auction car shipping services must have the specialized equipment, team, and expertise to handle a wide range of vehicle types and conditions, increasing the overall cost of the shipping process.

Enclosed trailers for high-end or classic vehicles
Lift gates for low-clearance or damaged vehicles
Rented forklift for loading/unloading inoperable vehicles

Limited Access

Auction sites often have restricted access and require specialized vehicle pickup and delivery arrangements.

Transport providers need to coordinate with auction staff, adhere to strict schedules, and ensure the safe handling of vehicles during the auction car transportation process.

Criteria For Hiring Companies For Auto Auction Transport Services

Criteria	Description
Licensing and Compliance	Verify the transportation provider has a DOT number and FMCSA license. Check BBB safety ratings and complaints.
Appropriate Equipment	Ensure the company has specialized trucks and trailers for your specific vehicle types.
Insurance Coverage and Liability	Confirm robust liability and cargo insurance for auction vehicles.
Track Record of On-Time Deliveries	Assess history of punctual deliveries and ability to meet deadlines by auctions.
References and Reviews	Gather feedback from past clients, especially for auction services, and check online reviews.

Always Hire Enclosed Auction Car Transport Service:

Vehicles bought from auctions are either super expensive or in non-running conditions, so it makes sense to use enclosed trailers to move them because they protect expensive vehicles and prevent non-running vehicles from getting further damaged.

Moreover, enclosed trailers with lift gates allow for easy loading/unloading of non-running cars, saving forklift rental fees. So, asking for an enclosed hauler when getting auto auction shipping services in the USA makes much more sense.
