German-based carmaker BMW released its latest model, the 2019 BMW i8 Roadster back in March, with deliveries already starting in the United States and recently in the United Kingdom.

Well-received and appreciated all-over the world, the company`s newest toys has also attracted tuning companies, and that`s because of its design language and advanced technology.

One prove in this regard is the extensive tuning program that famous German-based aftermarket shop AC Schnitzer has carried out on the i8 Roadster. You can see full details about it in the media gallery below.

Famous for their exclusive programs, particularly at the exterior, AC Schnitzer have added a full body kit with parts made from carbon fiber. However, under the hood, the model has not received any new modifications. This means the same 1.5 three-cylinder turbocharged engine plus an electric motor, both delivering a total of 369 horsepower. It also manages an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds, meaning a 0.2 second difference compared with the i8 Coupe. The new battery also allows for an average consumption of 70 eMPG.

As for the exterior highlights, almost every inch of the car has been modified. Starting with the wheels, which is my favourite part, the technicians from AC Schnitzer have fitted 21 inches AC1 lightweight forged bi-colour, providing at the same time a 4.4 kg decrease in weight. They make the car extremely aggressive, especially since it sits lower to the ground, thanks to the new custom lowering spring kit.

From a visual standpoint, the 2019 BMW i8 Roadster by AC Schnitzer comes with a new front spoiler, middle front spoiler, front side wings and front and rear air outlets. There is also the “Racing” rear wing for more downforce or the 160 mm emblems on the sides, and the new door handle panels.

The interior perfectly complements the exterior with floor mats covered in velour, aluminum pedals and footrest.

BMW released their hot-shot i8 plug-in hybrid back in 2014 and lots of aftermarket shops believed that it was quite a difficult task to transform it into something quite special, just because of its Dark Vader-like body style and impressive power configuration under the hood.

But as the market progressed, tuning companies managed to find ways of customizing this amazing piece of German engineering, and Vorsteiner tuner was one of firsts to develop exquisite and complete tuning programs.

The latest project involves this gorgeous BMW i8, all dressed-up with a standout Vorsteiner kit, making it one of the most outstanding plug-in hybrids ever customized by an aftermarket shop.

The plethora of modifications make it a real eye-catcher, the overall work showing the impressive aerodynamics an increase downforce.

Vorsteiner added a new extended and lowered splitter at the front for improved stability and moved on to the back, where it installed a carbon fiber diffuser for enhanced downforce. The overall design is complemented by the three-piece forged alloy wheels with grey spokes and silver outer rubbers. Also, the i8 looks low and extremely aggressive thanks to the new suspension system.

Under the hood, this BMW i8 is still making use of an I3 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, backed by a synchronous engine, both developing a total of 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque. The famous aftermarket specialists from the German based AC Schnitzer tuning division have recently transformed the BMW X4 model into a police vehicle, fitting the model with an interesting upgraded program.

The entire body of the BMW X4 has been transformed into a real police vehicle, starting with the body kit, which has now been changed with a more aerodynamic one, the model also receiving lowered suspension spring, carbon fiber mirror caps, or the chromed exhaust pipes.

Other transformations concern the Hella flashing lights, or the RTK 7 police signaling system, while inside, the BMW X4 has received aluminum pedals, custom key holder and more tweaks.

Under the hood, the AC Schnitzer specialists have kept the 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit, which is now more powerful, developing 245 horsepower, compared to the standard 184 horsepower.

This would be enough for the BMW X4 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, at a top speed of 212 km/h.

The very first BMW M4 Coupe has just been released from its cage in Munich, Germany. The model has seen the first day out of the assembly line, which is a very important event from BMW.

The event was celebrated by driver Hermann Bohrer, the managing director at BMW, as well as Martin Tomczyk, a professional driver who took the fresh new car out for a spin.

The demonstration showed that the M Coupe is worthy of its Active M Differential with power steering being electronically limited along with some carbon fiber and aluminum components which reduce the weight of the car.

The BMW M4 Coupe has already made its public debut at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, taken place in Detroit a few months ago, coming with a refined and more aggressive body kit.

The M4 Coupe is powered by a 3.0-liter six-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, developing a rough 431 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque.

As for the mile range, the supercar sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. The M4 has a top speed of 250 km/h. The engine it sports, is also used on the future M3.

Here’s another moment of self doubt coming from people who actually own the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, would they screw it up?

BMW made it pretty clear, it’s a limited run car of a very impressive machine and it’s the sort of thing we dream of owning sometime in the future.

But do owners share this opinion? Does the 1 Series M owning crowd feel like there’s nothing that can be done to improve it?

We’ve certainly seen plenty of tuning kits, changing this and that. There’s even a few conversions out there that improve the performance and aerodynamics together.

Some of the packages feature a set of interior changes and some actually go into the equipment side of the story. This find by 1addicts however is out of this world.

It does appear to be a 1 Series M Coupe convertible but we can’t be sure that this is it. The interior doesn’t seem to be the same.

As the forum user cunningly noticed, the leather upholstery does not have orange stitching. This is a trait of the 1 M coupe.

This could mean that the conversion to a convertible was done by swapping all the important bits into a convertible 1 Series but not the interior.

There’s also the much simpler chance that this isn’t a 1 M Coupe at all. It could simply be one of the regular convertibles that got a body kit, suspension and exhaust makeover.

Until the owner clears up the entire event, we’ve only got speculation factor to talk about.

The 5 Series being a bread and butter machine may be great for the guys over at BMW but it does raise a bit of a problem for people who actually own the car.

At some point it starts getting rather difficult to distinguish yourself from the crowd of business men and sales reps driving around in theirs.

If you’re not a fan of stickers and hammers, you’ll end up going through tuning companies. Here’s the latest of such proposals and it comes from Royal Muffler.

Contrary to what the name would indicate this new tuning kit for the F10 BMW 5 Series isn’t all about a minor tweak to the exhaust system.

We’re talking about a complete kit that does actually include an engine re-tune and the fitting of a complete sports exhaust system.

Sadly, the chaps over at Royal Muffler haven’t given us any details on the sort of performance this version of the BMW 5 Series can develop.

We do know however that it will sport a full body makeover in the shape of a kit the company borrowed form Wald International.

The new look would be accentuated by a set of 21 inch Forgiato five-spoke alloy wheels in a two-tone finish. Speaking of paint, the same happens with the actual car.

Royal Muffler wrapped this F10 BMW 5 Series in Satin White touch and there’s a pleasant contrast achieved with some black painted details.

Making sure everything has a better look and stability rating, the tuner also fitted a new H&R sports suspension kit.

The F10 BMW 5 Series is about as German as a car can get except for how it’s actually exciting to drive. This is why tuning companies just can’t resist trying to improve it.

This time however Vorsteiner aren’t messing around, they do have a complete set of mods to showoff and they’ve put together a nice press release.

Actually, that part isn’t really true but the Vorsteiner F10 BMW 5 Series kit is actually worth the attention as everything meshes together great.

Before we get to the goods it’s pretty important to state that the Vorsteiner offering for the F10 BMW 5 Series only applies to the models that come with a factory M Tech package.

That said, the 5er gets a mix between the V-MS body kit offerings and their newly introduced sports exhaust system.

The V-MS body kit features a new front spoiler, rear spoiler, a redesigned rear diffuser, a new set of LED taillights, all of which are mixed with a new black paint finish and new wheels.

These would be alloys that come in 20 or 21 inch diameter forged five-spoke that are slightly concave and painted graphite gray.

It’s possible that the American tuner may have a lot to say about their new creation but then again, all you’d need with a F10 BMW 5 Series that looks like this is to take a longer look at it.

Perhaps it would be a little less menacing without the black tinted windows but why would you want that?

Nobody is really interested in buying a tuned F10 BMW 5 Series that looks like a nice boy’s car.

Despite having released a preview several ages ago, German tuner Prior Design has just released its special body kit for the F10 BMW 5 Series.

At the most, you can call it a late Christmas gift and I’m guessing that from a timing point of view the market release could have been handled better.

In regards to the actual Prior Design body kit for the F10 BMW 5 Series, the same can’t be said. It really does look like the time was well spent.

The new kit is made up of a front add-on spoiler, a set of new side skirts, a rear add-on spoiler which includes a diffusor and a tiny roof spoiler.

Prior Design tells us that the sideskirts are compatible with all versions of the F10 BMW 5 Series.

They do state however that the front and rear bumper addons don’t work with the M Sport or M5 versions of the German saloon.

Development time for the very discrete body kit the German tuner is offering is also justified in how the main bonus you get with it is not a refreshed and distinct look, it is in added aerodynamic cleanliness.

Despite that pretty interesting claim, Prior Design didn’t release any official Cx figures. Instead, they’ve announced that an optional offering with the kit will be in the new set of quad exhaust pipes.

It seems like all their work went to the right spot and that the Prior Design BMW 5 Series aero kit is great. The only real problem I can see with it is the new look of the hood.

Russian tuning companies may have taken a liking for the BMW X6, after the guys at Met-R and their Interceptor kit, a new package is available for it.

The creation belongs to a Moscow-based tuning shop entitled Status Design and it brings an interesting approach to the X6.

Unlike most Russian design concepts, the Status Design kit can be put on your BMW X6 without fear that you kids will be afraid of the car every time they look out the window. Getting past the basics, let’s take a closer look at the new show and go.

The exterior package features a body kit, a carbon fiber roof spoiler, front bumper with LED daytime running lights, some carbon trim for the window surrounds and mirror covers. Round at the back there’s a new rear bumper that accommodates a pair of dual tail pipes and a carbon fiber diffuser. Then there’s a set of 22-inch alloy wheels from Hartge which accentuate the detailing done on the overall aesthetics.

Moving on to what’s under the bonnet we find the BMW X6’s factory turbocharged 3 liter straight-six engine but with a bit of added “schnell” comes from a remmaped ECU, a sport exhaust system and sport air filter, all of which come together for a boost of power bringing the total up to 380 horsepower.

The package is pretty tasty and since Status Design haven’t released pricing details we’re not scared yet.
