Following a recent BMW X5M tuning program carried out by European Auto Source a couple of days ago, the powerful and menacing SUV from the Bavarian carmaker is ending up in our news again in a new and standout program, under the close surveillance of the technicians from G-Power.

G-Power are well-known for their extreme power kits added to different BMW products, like the M3 or M4, X5, X6 and recently on the topper X5M. The kit is called Typhoon and mainly refers to the car`s exquisite power and some visual upgrades.

The BMW X5M looks smashing with the new aero components, including the carbon fiber bonnet with “Venturi” based Dynamic Venting system, front aprons with custom air intakes, wider front wheel arches, side skirts, as well as the 102 mm tailpipes with titanium sport exhaust system. The overall design is complemented by the massive 23-inch HURRICANE RR alloy wheels.

Under the hood, the X5M Typhoon is coming with the tuner`s Bi-Tronik 2 V3 power kit, consisting of new turbochargers and updated engine software, which raises the SUV`s power to a whopping 750 horsepower and 980 Nm of torque.

The higher-performance titanium sports exhaust system and new turbochargers also provide the SUV with a much more impressive engine soundtrack. Unfortunately, the tuner have not revealed the performance figures, meaning that the Typhoon X5M is still undergoing some testing. G-Power is used to customizing BMWs with its special power kits, along with the new set of 23-inch HURRICAINE RR forged alloy wheels which make them even more aggressive than before.

We have last seen the extraordinary and all mighty BMW X5M stuffed with a lot of power from G-Power, but we have never seen in full throttle with a hefty dosage of power, part of Stage 3 kit.

And the secret ingredient of this stage 3 power kit is the tuner`s G-Power Bi-Tronik 5 V1 power module, adding new turbochargers with larger turbine and compressor wheels, as well as bespoke titanium exhaust system.

You can now imagine all the power squeezed out from the same 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 engine: impressive 750 horsepower and whopping 980 Nm of torque, which is quite enough to sprint from 0 to 200 km/h in just 11.5 seconds. The top speed of 300 km/h also helps achieve the figure.

Besides the stage kit 3, G-Power also offers “not that impressive” power, like 700 horsepower and 905 Nm of torque, achieved with the Bi-Tronik 5 V1 and 650 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, respectively, thanks to the Bi-Tronik 2 V1 remap with fabricated flow-optimised stainless downpipes.

No matter the stake kit, the BMW X5M in this form, is one of the most powerful SUVs being present on tuning market at the moment.

When dealing with heavy customizations under the hood of the BMW X5M and X6M, there are only two tuners crossing my mind at the moment: Hamann and G-Power, two of the most important from the tuning market competent enough to create the perfect upgrade kits.

And yes, this article involves another BMW X5M receiving a special Hamann power kit underneath its skin. The entire installation was carried out by the technicians from DS Automobile.

The BMW X5M is a big and mean German machine, big enough to intimidate everybody with its extremely aggressive bod style.

This one over here is a mean looking lad, especially with the black exterior and the Anniversary Evo alloy wheels, all finished in metallic black. Add up the flared arches and sports bumpers and you have the coolest one ever seen.

But the real beast is yet to be revealed, as the Hamann power kit brings this BMW X5M to a whole new level. The same 4.4-liter proudly sits underneath, ready to churn out a new 650 horsepower, quite massive from the stock 560 horsepower. We are not sure if the torque was also raised from 750 Nm of torque.

Again, the tuner wouldn’t offer the performance figures, but since in the stock version the SUV sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, we suspect at least 4.0 seconds with the Hamann power kit. The topping might be still stand at an electronically limited 250 km/h.

The BMW X5M is the ultimate SAV from the German based carmaker, the model coming with sheer performance and an evolutionary body style that make it quite unique.

But the aftermarket specialists from Manhart tuner in collaboration with G-Power tuner, have decided that the stock power was not enough for the X5M and decided that a power boost would make it a complete SAV.

In the stock version, the BMW X5M packs a 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine, with a good 575 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, but thanks to some mods carried out under the hood, the SAV is now churning out a whopping 700 horsepower, available at 6,500 rpm and 900 Nm of torque, at 5,700 rpm. The topping stands at 315 km/h.

All the power is achievable thanks to the new engine software, stainless steel sport mufflers with valve control, or custom exhaust system. The entire power kit costs 7,500 euros.

Apart the power boost, the owner of this BMW X5M also opted for the grey-matte exterior wrap, available at 3,500 euros, along with the new 22-inch BBS SV wheels with Vredestein Ultrac Vorti rubbers, costing an additional 4,284 euros.

Other features include the 1,188-euro H&R lowering springs, or the 799-euro AWRON display inside the cabin.

The BMW X5M and the X6M are the most potent SAVs that the German based carmaker has ever produced, but the aftermarket specialists from Dahler tuning think differently, as they decided to add up some more flavor under the hood.

Dahler Design has partnered Technik GmbH and have built up two power stage kits, which were installed on both the X5M and X6M.

The Stage 1 kit is making the X5m/X6M produce 664 horsepower and 820 Nm of torque, which is enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, at a topping of 305 km/h.

The Stage 2 power kit is producing more power from the same 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, meaning 680 horsepower and 860 Nm of torque. The performance figure shows us 3.8 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, at a top speed of 305 km/h.

Both power stages come with custom and high-performance catalysts, an upgraded engine software as well as a stainless exhaust system.

Other important features refer to the new chassis with the adjustable suspension system, or the 22- and 23-inch alloy wheels, which add greater stance and improved driving capabilities. There were also some slight mods carried out inside.

Both BMW X5M and X6M were launched on the market earlier last year and in the stock versions they pack a 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, with 572 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, at a topping of 250 km/h. The stock versions sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
