The new F15 BMW X5 officially breaks cover today after first shots with the company’s SUV surfaced on the Web yesterday.

In terms of styling, the revised BMW X5 benefits from new front and rear bumpers, LED adaptive lights, a reworked front grille and larger air intakes. Inside, there will be extra room for the passengers, a total boot space of 1,870 liters, Poplar Grain wood trim, sport seats as optional and LED ambient lighting.

The base model available at launch will be the xDrive50i, powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 650Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes 5 seconds with a top speed of 250 km/h.

The second engine available at launch will be the 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo diesel with 258hp and 560Nm of torque. It will be available on the BMW X5 xDrive30d making the 0-100 km/h sprint possible in 6,9 seconds. Last but not least, the BMW X5 M50d comes with a 3.0-liter unit offering 381hp and a 0-100 km/h time of 5,3 seconds.

The new BMW X5 will hit the European market starting this winter with other markets to get the new model in 2014.

When I was a child, I was loving to look at movies with my father and to ask him about the cars from that movie and I was way too happy when I started to recognize the auto makers from the movies and I have to say that a bit from that “tradition” is still alive in me.

My favorite engine which is also the most powerful one for this 2011 BMW X5 Facelift is a 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine which can develop up to 402 horsepower and 400 Nm which is almost as powerful as the M which can develop 555 horsepower but there is still a difference right there which can’t be ignored.

We can say that this is not the first time when we see the 2011 BMW X5 facelift because some time ago we had some spy photos but they were not revealing so good the shape of this 2011 BMW X5 facelift because the car was camouflaged. You can also see 2 spy photos with this 2011 BMW X5 facelift below.

Even if both of the rendering photos are made from the front of the 2011 BMW X5 facelift, we can think how is going to look this 2011 BMW X5 facelift from the left and right side and also from the rear side. 

I must say that after this facelift of the 2011 BMW X5, this BMW X5 is looking much more similar to the BMW X6 which is pretty good because under the hood, in most situations you can find the same “baby” or better said, the same monster.

The difference between BMW X5 Facelift and a normal BMW X5 is just at the front bumper. The second generation of BMW X5 was introduced in 2006 so it is just the perfect time for a facelift. But don’t hurry, this facelift is about to appear in 2010 so we have to wait about one year or few months for it.

The engine will be almost the same and there will be just a new 3.0 liter twin turbo diesel that will develop 306 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and a torque of 600 Nm. I don’t know why is this model so well camouflaged because as I wrote before, the changes are very little.

If I would have enough money for a BMW X5, I would wait some few months or at most one year for the new facelift. Anyway, I prefer a BMW X1 instead of BMW X5 with facelift or not because it is much more cheaper and I also like more the BMW X1’s aspect. This is just my opinion, anyone else thinks the same?
