The new BMW X4, a model which just entered production at the Spartanburg plant in the US, has been spotted in metal. The crossover model was revealed last month but deliveries to the customers are still to begin.

In terms of styling, it borrows some design cues from the smaller X3 but still has its own personality. Under the hood, you will find a variety of diesel and petrol engines with outputs ranging from 184 horsepower to 313 horsepower.

The front end is dominated by revised optical blocks with LED lights, a large front grille, new fog lights and a swooping roofline.

A faux rear diffuser and LED taillights are present in the back while new alloy whels complete the exterior look.

Pricing for the new BMW X4 starts at $45,625 in the United States. Considering that BMW kicked off production for the new X4, you should expect to see more and more vehicles on the streets quite soon.

The Germans are BMW are intensifying tests for the new X4, a model which starts dropping camouflage. This could only mean that the development and testing process is coming to an end with the official debut being set most likely for this fall.

In terms of styling, the new model is an evolution of the current X3 but also gets some design cues from the bigger brothers in the range.

The German crossover adopts a quite sporty appearance with revised optical blocks, front grille, bumpers and air intakes.

Under the hood, the new BMW X4 will adopt a 2.0-liter diesel with 190 horses, a 2.0-liter petrol producing 184 horsepower as well as two 3.0-liter engines, one petrol and one diesel, with outputs starting at 258 hp to 306 hp.

The latter also offers a total of 400 Nm of torque while a more potent diesel with 313 horsepower is also expected in the lineup. We will keep you updated with new details on the 2015 BMW X4 as they will be available.

The 2014 BMW X4 seems to get closer and closer to debut as new spy photos appeared today. The prototype starts dropping camouflage which lets us get a closer look at the German model.

The BMW X4 Concept will provide a series of styling elements while the X6 will also serve as a pattern. Under the hood, expect to see a series of 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engines.

As you probably know, the model is based on the current BMW X3 which means that the engine range will be quite identical.

These images were shot on the well-known Nurburgring circuit and as mentioned above, they indicate a late stage of development for the new BMW X4.

We expect to see the model’s world premiere later this year with the first units to reach their customers early 2014.

The 2014 BMW X4 seems to be closer and closer as today we get a closer look at the German model. The prototype spotted on the streets drops some camouflage showing more parts.

This particular model also benefits from the M Sport package which adds revised bumpers and front grille. The new BMW X4 will feature restyled optical blocks, a slightly different rear end and other minor tweaks.

However, you will know that the model is part of the SUV lineup by its similarities to its brothers such as the X3 and X6.

As expected, the new BMW X4 will feature a wide range of well-known 2.0-liter and 3.0-liter engines. Outputs will vary from entry-level versions with 184 horses to more potent 300-horsepower engines.

The all-new BMW X4 will very likely make its official debut at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show, an event which opens its gates in January.

In terms of styling, we expect to see several cues taken from its smaller brother, the X3. However, the increased dimensions and certain features will make the new X4 stand out in the range.

The 2014 NAIAS is very likely to be the place where BMW will unveil the new model, mainly considering that it will be built at the company’s plant in South Carolina.
