Being introduced as “captivating innovation”, the new Vision ConnectedDrive concept has been revealed by the Germans from BMW today in front of the European audience at the Geneva Motor Show. If few days ago we got the opportunity to see some renderings of the new German concept, today, we can admire the new innovative prototype built by BMW in a bunch of live photos directly from the European Auto Show in Geneva.

Being based on the Vision EfficientDynamics concept or shortly BMW i8, the ConnectedDrive concept focuses on the infotainment experience.

From the exterior features we can note the sloping hood, the shark nose but also the new opening system for the doors which actually is not that new because the system dates from years back when the Germnas fitted this kind of doors on a previous Z1 generation.

Inside we face a a three-dimensional head-up display as we previously expected, this being a key feature of the in-car infotainment system. The German two-seater roadster can be admired in its full splendor in the following photo gallery straight from the Geneva Motor Show.

Last month the Germans from BMW decided to reveal a video teaser for the new Vision ConnectedDrive concept which wil debut at Geneva. Few days ago the Germans announced the official details of the new Vision ConnectedDrive concept.

Today, a new video starring the new concept is available, a video from where we can see mainly what the official photos show, nothing special indeed. In the new video the concept is still but we can see more clearly some interesting features such as the futuristic interior, the new instrument panel and more.

We cannot tell you too much about the new Vision ConnectedDrive concept as there are just few details but we know that 3D interactive systems may be fitted inside according to the first rumors and assumptions. At the exterior the German concept adopts the famous shark nose and asking me it is a good choice. Moreover, there might be some common design features with BMW’s GINA concept revealed about two years ago.

Early this year BMW published a teaser video with the ConnectedDrive concept, a prototype which will be revealed within the Geneva Motor Show alongside other new models in range. At that time we were not able to see too much details about the new ConnectedDrive concept but now we got an official photo gallery.

At the exterior we see the aggressive sloping hood, headlamps fitted with angel eyes, a more prominent grille and large air intakes in the front bumper.

The German roadster concept comes also with huge wheels, an interesting hood and a futuristic design which remind us of BMW’s GINA concept. The interior keeps the same futuristic line with an innovative dashboard which is also rumored to offer 3D capabilities, new seats and also an appropriate steering wheel for this kind of concept.

In the same time BMW officially confirms that the new 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo packed under the bonnet of the X1 xDrive28i will be unveiled at Geneva alongside the eco-friendly ActiveE electric model.
