The BMW Concept 5 Series GT (PAS) was unveiled in Munich a few days ago. You have seen a lot of pictures with BMW 5 Series GT from there and we want to share with you some new information about this beautiful concept. First of all, I will let you see some new pictures with BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo:

Now, it’s the time for some interesting details about this BMW. BMW 5 Series GT will have a less price than the 2009 BMW 7 Series, it will have a base price around 35-40,000 Euro and will go as high as 70,000 Euro. The design has similar design features from the 2009 BMW 7 Series, the large grille and L-Saped taillights. Also, the rumours say that this concept will be launched at the end of this year, which is a nice info for us.

The exterior’s new inovation is the hatch-back in the back that opens in two different modes. One of these modes is that the owner can open a small rectangular hatch that offers a small opening for small objects. Another mode is when the owner open the tailgate that offers a large opening for large objects.

BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo has a trunk volume of 1650 liters. The lenght and the height of this concept are 4998mm and 1555mm. We can tell you that this PAS will have eight-speed automatic gearbox which is a great thing.

BMW PAS (Progressive Activity Sedan) is officially on the internet with a teaser video.

People from BMW published first teaser video with BMW PAS a couple of hours ago. Also those from bmw-web.tv published the teaser video on YouTube and they said that BMW presents a revolutionary concept, “it is not Sedan, no Touring and no SUV, but pure BMW”. BMW PAS will be the main competitor for the Mercedes CLS.

BMW PAS will be based on BMW 5 Series and will make his appearance at Geneva Auto Show, so stay tune on BMWCoop for news, videos and pictures with BMW PAS and the rest of BMW models.

With the economic crisis, more and more companies are giving up on their expensive projects.

Even so, BMW has no plan on canceling one of the most interesting projects of 2009, the BMW PAS. This car was designed with a clear propose. It will be cheaper than the 7 Series and more expensive than the 5 Series, but it will be very luxurious. The car is perfect for any person who has considered buying and SUV, but isn’t sure of it yet. This means that the BMW PAS will be higher than most cars, but lower than most SUVs. The back might remind us of the BMW X6, but this might change until the unveil. The BMW PAS will be powered by a 3.0 Liter engine for both US and European market.

At the moment, we don’t have the official pictures of the BMW PAS, but it shouldn’t take long until we get them.

After the appearance of a few spy photos of the BMW PAS, some graphic designers have tried to offer us a closer look at the BMW PAS. Some of these pictures are only virtual, but some of them might be really close to reality. In 2009, we will finally be able to look at the real BMW PAS and see what it is capable of.

The car will open a new segment of vehicles because, at this point, it can be situated between a 5-Series and the X6. It is said to be a 4 door sedan, but it is basically a multipurpose vehicle. The exact date of its release is unknown, but the BMW PAS will probably be available at car shows in 2009.
