About five days ago, Hans, the president of the M Flight Club uploaded a video with the new BMW M5 F10 on the highway while pulling the model to its limits. The video below is shot on Autobahn 62 which means that the driver has broken no traffic regulations but we still recommend to drive safely and consider that at high speeds, no matter what vehicle you drive, everything gets way more dangerous.

The new BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 unit with M TwinPower Turbo which delivers a total of 560 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque, enough resources for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,4 seconds and a top speed of 250 km/h.

The M5 model in question got rid of the speed limiter which lets the model to hit a top speed of 330 km/h. However, Hans managed to achieve a speed of ‘only’ 300 km/h due to the busy traffic.

The maximum power amount is available between 6,000 and 7,000 rpm while the torque from 1,500 rpm. The German sports model benefits from a seven-speed M DCT transmission with Drivelogic. Be sure to check the video posted above!

From the start we have to tell you that we are not encouraging this kind of behavior while driving on public roads especially at high speeds.

We talked several times about the new BMW M5 F10, first time when some photos hit the Internet from a private event held in Munich, then the Germans released the official details and also yesterday when we had the opportunity to see the interior thanks to some journalists from Shanghai.

This time, we got a video starring the BMW M5 F10 prototype while doing some tests on a German highway. Nothing unusual since now but the shocking part is that the video is shot by a driver of an older M5 E60 who forced its vehicle just to overcome the newer M5.

The driver almost hit 300 km/h but nothing is illegal as he was running on a piece of Autobahn where is no speed limit. Of course, driving at this speed and filming yourself it’s a very risky job, thus, this is a negative example and we are not promoting this kind of behavior.

Few days ago the Bavarians from BMW revealed a three-minute video starring the new BMW M5 F10, a model that is set for debut at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show.

We talked several times about BMW’s decision to unveil the new M model in China, not in Europe as it would have been expected, thus, we won’t insist on this anymore. This time, we get a thirty-minute video, raw footage of course, because editing every shot of a video this long needs too much. However, without any editing, we see exactly what we get from the new BMW M5 F10.

The new full-lenght video is actually the continuation of the previous teaser, the same M5 prototype running the same frozen lands somewhere in Alps.

BMW gives us today a first glimpse on the new BMW M5 F10, a model which is most likely to debut later this year, in September, at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The Germans decided to reveal a video teaser of the next-generation M5, the sports version of the current 5 Series F10. Just to be told, BMW’s new M model will keep the rear-wheel drive system, if you were in doubt.

As we previously reported, the new BMW M5 F10 comes with few modifications that need to be reminded. Namely, the new automatic eight-speed ZF transmission that will fit the new M5 is very possible to be the only option for the German model.

Together with this decision that is likely to be confirmed but for now it’s just an assumption, the Germans announced that the old V10 engine won’t be seen anymore under the bonnet. Instead using the V10 unit, the new M5 will pack the same engine found under the bonnet of the M versions X5 and X6.
