The M-Power division of the Bavarians from BMW recently released a video promoting the BMW M5 Concept earlier revealed at the Shanghai Auto Show. The M5 Concept is not the production-ready version of the upcoming BMW M5 F10 as there are still some modifications to be made but largely the concept revealed in China reflects the appearance of the next-generation M5.

The new BMW M5 F10 is scheduled to enter the production later this year while in about one month, the Germans will officially unveil the series version of the new M5, a model based on the current 5 Series F10 generation. Few people had the opportunity to see the M5 Concept before the unveiling event in Shanghai and their opinions are included in the following video.

Dr. Kay Segler, President of BMW M GmbH claims that the BMW M5 Concept fits perfectly the country where they decided to reveal the model as everyone would like to drive the German sporty car.

The few people who had the opportunity to see the German prototype before the unveiling event stated that their assumptions proved to be true and the new M5 F10 will surely be a potent rival for the competitors.

It seems that the word that matches perfectly the new BMW M5 F10 is leak. We tell you this as the first photos showing the undistinguished BMW M5 Concept were some leaked shots from a private event held in Munich earlier this month.

If we already knew how the future BMW M5 F10 will look at the exterior, we got no interior shots to delight our sight, until now, mainly due to the fact that the prototype benefited from tinted windows.

Unfortunately, these images with the interior are not groundbreaking but since we still talk about the M5 Concept, we got all the confidence that the Germans from BMW will fit the series version of the new M5 F10 with all the awaited M elements.

If you missed the previous reports, the new BMW M5 which is based on the current 5 Series F10 generation will get under the hood a 4.4-liter twin-turbo unit able to develop around 592 horsepower, slightly more than you get from the BMW X6 M. June 21st, 2011 is the date when BMW will officially reveal the new BMW M5 F10 in its final version.

In approximately two months since now, the Germans from BMW will unveil a concept version of the incoming M5 generation, a prototype which is in fact very very close to the series model if not exactly the same. BMW decided to bring the BMW M5 F10 at the Shanghai Auto Show, ahead of any major European automotive event.

They called it M5 Concept but there is very likely to be just the name as according to the available details the prototype which will be displayed in China will be almost the same as the production version.

The official series version of the new M5 will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show this fall, thus, we have to wait few more months for the new performance model as the Germans confirmed that the new generation M5 is not scheduled for Geneva.
