The new BMW M5 Competition Package was recently put out for a speed test by the French magazine Option Auto. The test was a tribute for the powerful V8 engine.

The new BMW M5 Competition Package has a number of new upgrades to the chassis and ride settings. The M engineers managed to revise the damping systems and the suspension.

Improvements were also done to the stabilizer bars, the car receiving some tuned ones. As a result, the BMW M5 Competition Package is now lower by around 10 millimeters.

As for the M Dynamic mode of the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control), the engineers came up with more sporty handling characteristics for the system.

Let`s not forget the exclusively designed 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, receiving 601M with some performance tires.
Inside, the cabin is a luxurious way to drive, sit or rest. The ventilated seats or the Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker stereo system, will make your time worth spending.

To conclude with, BMW of North America is stating that the pricing for BMW M5 Competition Package is around $7300. Not bad.

BMW released official pricing figures for the Competition Package in the United Kingdom. As you probably know, this option is available for the BMW M5 and M6 models.

The revised BMW M5 fitted with the Competition Package gets a power boost to a total output of 567 horses, larger 20-inch alloy wheels, a revised sport exhaust system and an improved suspension.

The new pack is priced at £6,700 which increases the starting price of the German model to 80,205. On the other hand, the BMW M6 gets the Competition Package at a price of £6,500 with the same features including the styling tweaks and the power boost.

In conclusion, if you want slightly more power and the 0-100 km/h sprint to be 0,2 seconds quicker but also few other sporty features, it means that the new option from BMW is for you.

Shortly after introducing the Competition Package for the 2014 BMW M5 and M6, the Bavarian company released official pricing information for this optional feature.

Priced from $7,300 for the F10 M5, the new pack provides a power boost from 560hp to 575hp for the stock 4.4-liter V8 powerplant.

Besides the power hike, the German company offers a retuned suspension bringing the model 10mm closer to the ground, new stabilizer bars and dampers.

In terms of styling, there is a new set of 20-inch M alloy wheels fitted with high-performance tires, new chrome tailpipes and adaptive LED headlights at extra cost. Inside, the iDrive controller will be offered with a touch interface while the M Dynamic mode also received some improvements.

The company revealed no pricing details for the Competition Package for the new M6 but we expect to see similar numbers.

BMW revealed their plans to offer the new M5 and M6 models with a new Competition Package able to bring few styling improvements and also a power boost.

Designed for the 2014 BMW M5 and M6, in their Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe configurations, the new optional package improves the output of the 4.4-liter V8 from 560hp to 575hp. As a result, the 0-100 km/h acceleration is now 0,1 seconds faster. Power will be sent to the wheels via a seven-speed M dual clutch gearbox.

A new set of 20-inch alloy wheels are also available alongside carbon ceramic brakes, new stabilizer bars, a sport exhaust system and a lowered suspension system (10mm).

Adaptive LED headlights are also an option now with a revised kidney front grille and updated taillights being offered too.

Interior upgrades are not very obvious and include new chrome trim, a revised armrest and steering wheel.
