Earlier this month, BMW unveiled the M3 pickup, a very unexpected model that finally proved to be just an April Fools joke but also few photos with the BMW M5 F10 Concept, a model scheduled to debut at the upcoming Shanghai Auto Show.

At the same event in Germany, BMW released the first details on the M3 E90 GTS Concept, the sedan version, as you probably guessed from the codename, a model that is likely to enter the production soon. From the start, the Bavarians told us that the prototype in the photos is not fitted with the complete package.

At the exterior, the German model gets a quad-pipe exhaust system, 19-inch alloy wheels, a revised sport suspension and a front splitter. In the rear you also get a carbon fiber spoiler placed on the trunk while an improved braking system is available too.

In terms of power, the first rumors announce that the BMW E90 GTS Concept fits a 4.4-liter V8 able to develop around 420 horsepower but certainly not over 444 horses, the current output of the BMW M3 E92 GTS Coupe.
