The 2015 NAIAS has already opened its gates and one of the most anticipated models to be launched here is the revised BMW 6-Series, which has brought its entire fleet. We are talking about the facelift of the 6-Series Coupe, 6-Series Gran Coupe, as well as the 6-Series Convertible.

The new BMW 6-Series lineup comes with an array of changes, first seen on the body and slowly moving towards the cabin as well as under the hood.

First, the new 6-Series have been equipped with some special body paintjobs, like the Melbourne Red metallic, Cashmere Silver metallic, Mediterranean Blue metallis, Glacier Silver metallic or the Jatoba metallic.

At a closer look, one might observe the kidney grille has now 9 bars, instead of 10, the models also coming with other changes like new front apron and the front fog lamps equipped with the Adaptive Full-LED headlights.

Inside the cabin, the BMW 6-Series facelift is also offered with a lot of important features, meaning LEDs which partially illuminated the interior, or the high gloss black trim on teh center console.

Under the hood, the entire BMW 6-Series fleet is also coming with some changes, like the newly introduced 6-cylinder engine which develops 315 horsepower, or the V8 twin turbo and 445 horsepower, equipping the 640i and the 650i versions.

BMW released details and photos on a new special edition based on the 6 Series Convertible. We talk about the BMW 6 Series Frozen Brilliant White Edition, a model which is based on the 650i following to be offered in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.

At the exterior, the new model stands out thanks to its BMW Individual Frozen Brilliant White metallic finish, new 20-inch Ferric Gray M alloy wheels, black kidney front grille and revised side mirrors finished in Frozen Black.

Inside, buyers will get new wood trim, leather upholstery, Nappa inserts, a new Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster but also the M Sport Package.

BMW will produce a limited series of 100 units with prices starting at $106,695 for the rear-wheel drive model and at $110,095 for the xDrive variant.

The new BMW 6 Series Frozen Brilliant White Edition will go on sale starting April.

The German specialists from Hamann revealed their new tuning program for the new BMW 6 Series generation, the convertible model benefiting from these improvements, to be more precise. The aerodynamic package includes a new front spoiler, rear spoiler and apron, a set of side skirts and also LED daytime running lights. Other styling tweaks include new 21- and 22-inch alloy wheels.

“The difference between the standard production and HAMANN’s customization can be seen at first glance: More dynamic, more style, and clearly more exclusivity, this is how the HAMANN Cabriolet presents itself when compared with the production model,” adds the German tuning house.

Scheduled to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Hamann’s BMW 650i Convertible packs a revised engine able to develop 510 horsepower, a quite decent improvements over the standard 407 horsepower output.

A new quad-pipe stainless-steel exhaust system will be also available alongside a sport suspension able to lower the ground clearance by 30 mm, thus, improving the handling and comfort. Hamann also claims that the customers can request several interior styling improvements such as new leather upholsteries, a sport steering wheel and more.

The German specialists from Lumma Design decided to release details on a new styling package specially prepared for the previous generation 6 Series Convertible (E64). Even if the new BMW 6 Series recently debuted, Lumma Design is not rushing to the new generation and tries its best for the old 6 Series Convertible.

This package brings nothing but few aesthetic tweaks able to give a fresh air and make the German model more attractive. The aerodynamic kit includes front and rear bumpers, a quad-pipe exhaust system, carbon fiber side mirrors, 21-inch alloy wheels fitted with 255/30R21 and 295/25R21 tires.

However, our eye is caught by a carbon fiber rear wing placed on the trunk, a component which really makes the BMW 6 Series Convertible look different. The interior suffered few improvements too, the German tuners fitting checkerboard-design carbon trim, the same treatment as the front grille received, a new leather steering wheel and a lot of carbon fiber elements.

Lumma logos are placed on the seats while aluminum pedals are completing the styling package developed by the German specialists.

Introduced to the public at this year’s edition of the North American International Auto Show, the new BMW 6 Series Convertible benefits from a tuning package developed by the Germans at Hamann.

The newest creation of the German specialists seems to be not complete yet as Hamann decided to preview this package with not to many details. The 6 Series Convertible gets three alloy wheels sets while in terms of technical improvements, a new high performance quad-pipe exhaust system is available too.

Mainly, these are the improvements that the German convertible suffered due to the new tuning package but Hamann promises that this is just the beginning. In the near future, the German specialists will unveil a complete set of aerodynamic tweaks able to improve the appearance.

In the same time, a power upgrade will be offered for the V8 unit which fits the German model, an engine able to develop 407 horsepower in standard. From the first details, the 640i and 650i versions of the new 6 Series should come also with power upgrades.

Few months ago, namely November last year, the Germans revealed the convertible version of the new generation 6 Series, codenamed F13. Here are some live photos with the new BMW 650i F13 directly from Detroit, the Bavarian model being equipped with the V8 engine able to develop 400 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque.

The BMW 640i will benefit from the N55 TwinScroll propeller able to develop 320 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, weighting 1,840 kilograms, the German model is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5,7 seconds. In terms of size, the new 6 Series F13 is 4,89m long and 1,36m wide.

The six-speed manual gearbox remains in the range together with the new eight-speed automatic transmission. Together with the new 6 Series generation, the Germans revealed also the new 1 Series M Coupe together with the revised 1 Series range. Photos and details on this to arrive soon. Until then, you can admire the new German model from all the angles.
