It is true that the all-new BMW 3 Series has been in the spotlight in the last two weeks and this is why we will talk right now about another new model in the range, the sixth generation BMW 5 Series, also known as F10. The German manufacturer, Hartge, prepared a complete tuning package for the BMW 535d, a model equipped with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel unit offering 300 horsepower. After few modifications, the Hartge H35d (as this is the name of the modified 5 Series) is able to deliver 354 horses and 700 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the exterior appearance is improved by a new set of 21-inch ten-spoke alloy wheels along with new carbon fiber housings for the side mirrors.

Other improvements include a new suspension system with sport springs able to lower the ground clearance by around 30 mm along a new exhaust system with 80 mm tailpipes. At the interior, Hartge offers new trim packages along with stainless-steel door sills and aluminum pedals.

The German model from BMW fitted with the M Sport packages gets four/five stars rating from the British people from Autocar. The Autocar journalists decided to put the BMW 535d F10 at the well known 90 seconds test, but not the ordinary model, we talk about the diesel version of the new 5 Series F10 fitted with the M Sport package.

Under the bonnet, the Bavarian M model packs a six-cylinder diesel unit with a 2993cc displacement and coupled to a 8-speed automatic gearbox. BMW 535d M manages to develop 295 horsepower at 4400rpm while the torque amount is 442 lb ft or 600 Nm.

The German model manages to obtain a combined fuel consumption of 5 liters/100 km or 46,3 mpg while the CO2 emissions are about 162g/km. Overall, the BMW 535d F10 M coming with a price tag of about $52,000 managed to get a four star rating which in my opinion is the right score for the Bavarian sedan.
