BMW`s exclusive model lineup in Abu Dhabi has recently welcomed the new addition from the 2017 5-Series, which is no other than the 540i, pictured below wearing the Sport Line trim. What is so special about the Sport Line is that it adds more outstanding styling bits from BMW`s Individual catalog, making the model look hotter and more standout.

In fact, this is one of the gorgeous variants from the 5-Series` entire model range, coming with a more aggressive aero package and impressive performance under the hood.

Speaking about performance, the BMW 540i Sport Line comes with a 3.0-liter petrol burner, which churns out 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, enabling a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds. However, this version is a tad slower than the xDrive, which can run the same distance in a blazing 4.8 seconds.

Besides the powertrain and performance figures, this 540i Sport Line also stands out from the crowd with plenty of M parts, like the Shadow Line package for the window surrounds, more aggressive front and rear bumpers, BMW Adaptive LEDs, adding as well the gorgeous 20-inch BMW Individual two-tone V-Spoke alloy wheels.

As for the interior, the BMW 540i Sport Line comes with the same M treatment, like the M-Sport steering wheel, and high-end materials, which increase the cabin`s cozy and luxurious feel.

The German based BMW carmaker launched the all-new 2017 5-Series Touring about a week ago, with the gorgeous family car being already previewed in the first reviews and photos.

BMW is continuing campaigning the all-new 5-Series Touring by releasing the official launch film, which highlights the car`s exquisite exterior, gorgeous interior with plenty of high-tech features as well as the engine lineup under the hood.

Expected to be officially introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show next month, the new 5-Series Touring offers the best practicality when it comes to family matters, standing on the company`s new CLAR platform, making use of aluminum composites and increasing the car`s comfort and space inside, and delivering one of the best performances in its class.

From a mechanical perspective, the 2017 BMW 5-Series Touring comes with a state-of-the-art rear air suspension system with automatic self-leveling system, with the possibility of adding the M Sport Suspension system, which lowers the car`s ride height by 10 mm, dynamic dampers, Adaptive Drive system with active roll stabilization, Integral Active Steering system and so on.

Performance wise, the new 2017 5-Series Touring is set to come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine, with 252 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, available in the 530i variant. In the 540i xDrive, the variant comes with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder with 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque.

On the diesels side, the 520d is available with a 2.0-liter flat-four pot with 190 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque, being sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission as standard, as well as an optional eight-speed manual gearbox. Also, the 530d is equipped with a 3.0-liter inline six with 265 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque.

The fifth-generation E60 BMW 5-Series was an exceptional car, both loved and hated by lots, depending on how they saw the model. But one thing was certain: besides the love-it-or-hated-it design, it was a German ride built to last.

Now, we have the pleasure of seeing it in an amazing video which highlights its exceptional mechanics and exquisite technical specifications. We are looking here at a fourth such video, after BMW also put together other three videos with the E12, E28, the E34 as well as the E39.

When it came out, the model was really revolutionary in terms of technology, coming with lots of high-tech gizmos and gadgetries way ahead its time. The interior came with head-up display technology, active cruise control and voice control, advanced steering, iDrive system as well as the latest high-end materials.

Besides that, when it was launched back in 2003, the advanced technology was mostly added to make the driver`s cruising more comfortable and pleasant, without spoiling the real driving adventure, and involving the other passengers into operating the car`s navigation systems.

If you asked me which car to choose as the perfect family car, I would definitely go for the latest 2017 BMW 5-Series Touring, a versatile wagon with lots of space inside, the company`s latest technology inside and an impressive engine lineup under the hood.

The company`s midsize wagon is an extremely practical 5-Series as well, standing on the new CLAR platform which makes use of extensive aluminum, making thus more lightweight with around 100 kg, and increasing the car`s performance figures.

The car`s main highlights remain the interior space, plenty enough for all passengers, their luggage and some extra packs. The Touring`s trunk capacity comes with a total of 570 liters with the rear seats up, but folding them down, would gain a total of 1,700 liters, enough to fit an entire living-room.

The interior also comes with a 40:20:40 split folding rear seats, adding as well other exquisite features, such as electric remote backrest release via a trunk-mounted button, separate rear window opening, automatic tailgate function with handsfree opening and closing of the tailgate.

Ever since its unveiling back in October last year, the all-new 2017 BMW 5-Series has been filling the headlines of every auto magazine all around the world, with all the eyes being focused on the top of the line M550i.

The high-end model has recently popped-up on the web in a new video, which highlights the impressive acceleration it comes with, achieved thanks to the impressive engine and top speed.

Besides the exquisite features at the exterior, which show us an aggressive design, while adding the latest gadgetries inside, the M550i top variant from 5-Series is even more impressive in the engine department.

In comes with an M Performance 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, specially tweaked with High-Performance injection system, Valvetronic valve lift, or Double VANOS variable cam timing, all of which make it churn out a pure 456 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, the latter one being achieved at just 1,800 rpm.

The entire powertrain is hooked to a high-performance eight-speed automatic Sport Steptronic transmission, which sends the power to all four axles via the car`s xDrive system.

As seen in the video below, the BMW M550i allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically limited to 250 km/h. In that matter, the M550i can easily stand side-by-side the M5 Jahre Edition, which runs the same straight line in a mind-blowing 3.9 seconds.

2017 is going to be an extremely important and busy year for BMW, the German based carmaker planning to introduce lots of updated models, new plug-in hybrids and a series of significant upgrade packages for some of its bigger cars.

On particular model announced with a plethora of updates so far is the 520d Efficient Dynamics version from the carmaker`s 5-Series, which is considered to be most economic variant within the whole range.

Most of the changes are comprised inside the cabin, the model now featuring plenty of high-tech gizmos and the latest safety features. Also, the 520d Efficient Dynamics has also received a lot of mechanics that would make the 2.0-liter diesel engine extremely economic and fuel efficient at the same time.

In terms of technology, the 520d is going to be equipped, starting this March, with the On-Street Parking info service, which is already available in some German cities. As the carmaker stated, the service is just a tiny part of the much more complexed BMW`s ConnectedDrive Real Time Traffic Information service, first debutin on the 7-Series and later on expanding on the all-new 5-Series.

In terms of safety features, the model will also be fitted with a wide range of systems, including the Lane Change Assistant, Active Assist Collision Avoidance system, Cross Traffic Alert as well as the Wrong Way Driving Alert function.

In the engine department, the BMW 520d Efficient Dynamics comes with a 2.0-liter diesel engine with lots of new mechanics – turbocharger on antifriction bearings, map-controller oil-pump, high-performance rail injection system and high-pressure exhaust gas recirculation system.

All of them contribute to the car`s performance and fuel-efficiency. This means that the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is done in 7.5 seconds, while returning a combined 3.9L / 100 km. The CO2 emissions are also set at 102g/km.

With the carmaker already announcing the full pricing and details of the all-new 2017 BMW 5-Series in Europe and the United States, it was just a matter of time until BMW Australia would reveal as well the arrival of the model in the Land Down Under.

Once it will arrive in Australia next March, the 2017 BMW 5-Series will be available in four variants – the BMW 520d, BMW 530i, 530d and 540i. The cheapest price is set at AUD 93,900 while the most expensive one is set at AUD 136,900.

Two months have passed from the official unveiling of the 2017 G30 BMW 5-Series, and the model is still being hunted down by different auto magazines, that want to see for themselves how the model feels, handles and sounds on the road or track.

And no matter how critical au auto magazine could be, there is always one that would praise the exceptional features of the model.

We are looking here at editor James Disdale behind the wheel of the 2017 G30 BMW 5-Series, who demonstrates that the model is a worthy adversary for the all-new Audi A6, Mercedes-Benz E-Class or the Jaguar XF.

As you will see in the 5-minute video, James Disdale explains the car` interior, highlighting the high-quality and the technology it comes with, not to mention the steering, handling or braking.

The all-new 2017 G30 BMW 5-Series was officially unveiled on the market about two months ago, the high-end model getting the same exclusive reviews as the 7-Series revealed last year.

The latest video review seen below was put together by Carfection and is called: “BMW 5-Series (G30): All-New, Atractive and Awesome.” And even if the video title says it all, we are bounded to offer some insight on the car`s exterior, interior and performance under the hood.

As you already probably know, the all-new 5-Series represents the carmaker`s latest benchmark in terms of advanced design and aerodynamics, latest gadgetries inside and sheer performance under the hood.

As the carmaker declared: ”For the first time, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan brings together two traditional BMW design elements which are normally separate from one another. The swage line turns up as it heads rearwards, moving from shadow to light and sweeping up the Hofmeister kink in its path rather than continuing into the rear. This upwards motion lends the car a forward-surging character, and the expressive, swooping surface imbues it with an undeniable muscularity.”

The model stands on the same CLAR platform as the 7-Series high-end model, meaning that it is built from lightweight materials like carbon fiber, making it agile and faster and enabling increase space inside. We are looking here at a weight drop of around 100 kg, allowing as well improved handling, increased maneuverability, low CO2 emissions and reduced fuel consumption.

Inside the cabin, the all-new 5-Series comes with the latest technology, including semi-autonomous driving, up-to-date safety features and improved high-end materials which will add a cozier feel.
