With the facelift version of the F10 BMW 5 Series revealed a week ago, the German carmaker decides to release official pricing figures for the new model.

The 2014 BMW 5 Series starts at $50,425, the base model (528i) being powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower engine. If you go to the other side of the range, you will find the BMW 550i xDrive Gran Turismo which starts at $71,125 but also the ActiveHybrid 5 priced from $62,325.

However, the most important model in range is the BMW 535d, a vehicle powered by a 3.0-liter diesel unit producing 255 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. This is the first time we see this unit on the latest BMW 5 Series in the States.

According to the company, the revised BMW 5 Series lineup including both Sedan and Gran Turismo models will hit the U.S. market this August.

The 2014 BMW 5 Series has been revealed today and brings some minor styling features and equipment upgrades. As you already know, we talk about a facelift version of the F10 BMW 5 Series, the most important improvements being at the exterior.

We talk about revised bumpers, optical blocks, adaptive LED headlights, chrome trim and new wheels. Inside, buyers will benefit from new materials and trim, better equipment, a revised iDrive system and new Luxury Line and Modern Line packs.

The range is also extended with the introduction of the BMW 518d, a diesel model powered by a four-cylinder unit producing 143 horsepower.

BMW released official photos for all the models in the lineup including the 5 Series Gran Turismo, a model which benefits from few styling tweaks which make it look better than its predecessor.

The current BMW 5 Series GT received several complaints from customers in terms of exterior design but BMW hopes that with the facelift version, all the criticism will come to an end.

It seems that the upcoming BMW 5 Series is getting closer and closer as it starts dropping camouflage and appears more frequently on the streets.

The current F10 5 Series will receive a facelift treatment this year, with the main improvements at the exterior being related to the bumpers and optical blocks.

Moreover, BMW will offer a revised front grille, rear skirt and probably new alloy wheels. Inside, the German carmaker will add new features but also will improve the quality of materials.

Under the hood, we could see some improvements as well even though the current engine range will largely carry over.

According to the current rumors, the upcoming 5 Series will get a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit capable to produce 316 horsepower. This powerplant will be found under the bonnet of the 2014 BMW 535i. It remains to be seen if BMW will take advantage of the Geneva Motor Show and unveil the new model next month.

We already know that BMW is preparing a facelift treatment for the current 5 Series (F10) generation as we’ve seen several spy shots with the restyled sedan.

This time, we got even a closer look at the new German model as the company starts dropping off the camouflage. As you probably guess, the revised BMW 5 Series which will be introduced next year, most likely at the Geneva Motor Show, will benefit from aesthetic improvements with no big changes in terms of performance.

However, there are some chances that the 3.0-liter turbocharged engine could receive a power boost for a total output of 316 horsepower.

Following to be sold as a 2014 model, the new BMW 5 Series comes with redesigned front and rear bumpers, slightly reshaped front optical blocks but also improved taillights.

Largely, we should expect aesthetic tweaks for the camouflaged parts of the prototype pictured above. At the interior, BMW should offer higher quality materials along with new trim.
