LEIB Engineering released details and photos on a comprehensive tuning kit for the well-known BMW 1 Series M Coupe. The little sporty German hatchback is already a racer but thanks to the German tuner, it gets even more awesome.

The 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine is now capable to produce 400 horsepower and 560Nm of torque, extra horses available thanks to a revised ECU unit and a sports exhaust system.

If you want an additional 100 horses, LEIB Engineering can fit the model with new exhaust and cooling systems but also with larger turbochargers.

This will up the output to 500 horsepower and 600Nm of torque, improving the performance figures by much.

On the styling side, the tuner opted for a matte grey finish with black accents, 20-inch Bavaria BC5 wheels with Yokohama Advan Sport tires and revised front and rear spoilers. A Bilstein sport suspension is also available and brings the model slightly closer to the ground.

SchwabenFolia decided to create a quite comprehensive pack for the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, a kit which brings both exterior styling tweaks and some performance upgrades.

On the outside, the German sports car receives a lime green foil wrap, carbon fiber mirror caps and a new set of alloy wheels.

Even at the first glance, it seems that the new exterior finish is the star of this tuning package, SchwabenFolia kept the best part for the engine.

Despite the fact that the BMW 1 Series M Coupe is already the fastest 1 Series offering 335 horses, the German tuner gives it a boost to 402 horsepower.

The additional power is obtained thanks to a reworked ECU unit and it’s priced at €1,299. The new green finish comes at a cost of €2,150 while the new alloy wheels are priced from €800.

If you want a high-performance Bilstein sports suspension, an additional amount of €2,499 is required while a titanium exhaust system is offered as well for €2,299.

Kelleners Sport tuners unveiled a new tuning package, this time the model in question is the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe, the smallest but still powerful M model ever created. This package comes for the people considering that the standard 1M Coupe is not very capable in terms of power, the German specialists improving the total output by 20%. If the standard BMW 1 Series M Coupe is able to deliver 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, Kelleners Sport managed to improve the figures to 410 horses and 550 Nm of torque.

We are really excited to hear this kind of information mainly considering that the small M model managed to beat some prestigious model on certain circuits due to its low total mass and decent power output.

According to the official details, the power boots has been achieved by mounting a new quad-pipe stainless-steel exhaust system. The new high-performance sport exhaust comes with 83 mm pipes and is able to deliver the additional horses by itself. A new adjustable coilover suspension comes to improve both the ride and handling while the German tuners prepared some aesthetic tweaks as well.

These improvements include a front spoiler lip along MS grill insert made of electro polished stainless steel and a new set of 20-inch Hamburg or Berlin wheels fitted with 245/30/R20 (front) and 265/30/R20 (rear) tires. The interior benefits from special treatment as well, Kelleners Sport enhancing the interior by adding Alcantara and leather upholstery, white stitching, aluminum pedals, velour floor mats and Kelleners Sport logos. It’s been a while since we talked last time about a tuning package dedicated to a model within BMW’s range but we are returning with tuning news and we do it big time. The smallest M ever created by BMW, the 1 Series M Coupe to be more precise, benefits from the first package, a tuning program which comes with styling tweaks but more important with power upgrades. As we previously reported, the new 1 Series M Coupe will be manufactured in less than 1,000 units so you’d better hurry up.

TechTec is the name of the tuning house which provides some noteworthy upgrades to the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe. We know that the standard 1M Coupe lapped the Hockenheim circuit in 1:14.1, slightly faster than the BMW M3 which did in 1:14.2. Well, the performance upgrades brought by the German tuners managed to improve the lap time to 1:13:59, not too much, theoretically.

We said theoretically because you will see that we talk about significant power improvements which raise the total output to 450 horsepower. For the beginning, TechTec offers a first power stage able to squeeze 380 horsepower and 578 Nm of torque from the 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit offering 335 horses in standard. This power increase costs around $1,400 while for additional $2,100 you can get a 400-horsepower BMW 1 Series M Coupe.

Lastly, the German tuners provide a power upgrade able to raise the total output to 450 horsepower, resources able to make the acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h possible in 4,1 seconds. The top speed increases as well to 300 km/h by getting rid of the speed limiter. Besides the power improvements, TechTec offers a new sport-suspension from KW, a system able to improve the handling while a new titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic will strengthen the sound produced by the revised engine.

There is almost no point to talk about the aesthetic tweaks as the variety of power upgrades brought by this tuning kit is most probably all what an 1M Coupe owner wants. However, at the exterior the German tuners applied some decals and vinyls but kept focused on the technical improvements.

The German people from Sport Auto decided to test the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe alongside few other models somewhere in Germany, at the Hockenheim track to be more exactly. The journalists tested a bunch of new vehicles from three big German manufacturers: BMW, Audi and Porsche.

They also did a comparison between the BMW E92 M3 ZCP DCT and the smallest M model in the range, of course, the new 1 Series M Coupe. I don’t know if you will believe but the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe actually managed to get a better time on the Hockenheim circuit.

It managed to get a lap time of 1:14.1 being just 0.1 second faster than the BMW E92 M3 ZCP DCT. It’s true that there is not a very big gap between the Bavarian models but let’s face it, the smaller proved to be the better this time, most probably due to its lower total mass.

The fastest model tested by Sport Auto journalists at Hockenheim proved to be Porsche Cayman R PDK which managed to obtain a time of 1:12.4 followed by BMW’s E46 M3 CSL with 1:13.5.

This year’s season of MotoGP is ready to debut with the Losail race in Qatar and the Germans from BMW proudly announced that their all-new 1 Series M Coupe will be the official Safety Car this season. Of course, the German model received a special paint job along some “Safety Car” stickers, a rear wing and a new set of 19-inch alloy wheels fitted with 255/35 tires front and 285/30 rear.

A pair of LED lights make their appearance in the front grille while the the technical improvements include a high performane four-pipe Akrapovic exhaust system, a new sports suspension but also a revised braking system.

Entering the cabin, the Germans from BMW quitted the rear seat and mounted a rollcage, sport seats with six-point seatbelts and also windows made of polycarbonate.

According to BMW, two additional security vehicles wearing the BMW badge will be seen at the first MotoGP race, namely a X6 M and M3. Here is a photo gallery with the specially prepared 1 Series Coupe M for the new MotoGP season.

With the ocassion of the 2011 Canadian International Auto Show, BMW found it as a great opportunity to reveal the new 1 Series M Coupe for the Canadian public. The 2011 CIAS is held annually at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the SkyDome between February 18 – 27, 2011.

The smallest M ever created enjoyed an unveiling ceremony in Toronto and also received the expected positive feedback from the Canadian audience crowded to see the newest M member of BMW’s family.

Looking over the specs of the new 1 Series M we remind that the German model gets a revised version of the N54 six-cylinder engine able now to develop 340 horsepower and to ensure optimal performance due to a lightweight structure. BMW also announced that 200 units of the new 1 Series M Coupe will arrive in Canada in order to meet their customers. The Germans from BMW also announced the price on the Canadian market, a price which spins around $53,600.

Back in December 2010, we talked about a rendering made by Jon Sibal based on the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe, a well-known designer and BMW fan in th same time. At that time we thought that we won’t see this model as a real car too soon but the designer just contradicted us recently.

We have some fresh details coming up exactly from his blog according to, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe competition version will take shape thanks to a massive collaboration with a large number of tuners.

Jon Sibal will team up with people from ESS Tuning, Brembo, Eisenmann Exhaust System, Challenge Engineering, KW but also Patrick BMW in order to create the model that few months ago was just a simple rendering. Also, a big contribution will be brought by the Chicago-based IND Distribution tuners. Currently we don’t have any technical details regarding the new special version of the 1 Series M Coupe but the information will be available soon.

The Germans from BMW announced the price for the new 1 Series M Coupe, the smallest M model ever created by BMW’s Motorsport division. Together with the new 1 Series M, BMW introduced the new 6 Series Convertible (F13) we already talked about.

Packing under the bonnet a twin-turbo 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine, the German small model manages to provide 335 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque while the sprint to 100 km/h is achieved in 4,7 seconds. The metallic orange exterior colour found usually on the competition M3 versions brings a plus in terms of appearance.

Unfortunately, for beginning the Germans plan to introduce just a limited amount of vehicles so you’d better hurry up if you really want to drive the latest M model developed by BMW. Okay, you probably want now to find the price of the new 1 Series M Coupe. According to the Germans from BMW, the new German model based on the 1 Series range get a price of $47,010.

With the Detroit Auto Show just around the corner, we think that this is the right moment to recap the latest BMW models and to put them all together. BMW announced that the American motor show scheduled to start early next year will bring three world firsts.

Of course, the models in question are already known in depth by BMW’s fans as they were fully revealed but now they have to meet the public within an important automotive event. The first world premiere will be the third generation 6 Series, namely the BMW 650i F13.

Together with the new 6 Series convertible, the Germans from BMW will introduce to the audience the revised 1 Series range, namely the facelifted convertible (E88) and coupe (E82) versions of 1 Series. Finally, BMW will reveal the smallest M ever created, the BMW 1 Series M Coupe, a model which is powered by a six-cylinder 3.0-liter engine able to develop 355 horsepower. The model has been recently revealed by the Germans and will enter the assembly line next year.
