Even if the all-new 2017 BMW 7-Series lacks a hardcore M7 variant at the moment, we still have got Alpina`s B7 Bi-Turbo to fill the gaps. Or, we can also choose the recently unveiled 760Li xDrive as the best alternative, especially since we are dealing with the most powerful and fastest version from the Series.

The 2017 BMW 760Li xDrive was launched a couple of days ago in big style, the high-end model being highlighted in the first official videos, and now it ends up into the spotlights with a new promo, which describes its fast acceleration from 0 to 200 km/h.

The model was recently tested by Bimmer Today magazine just the other day on the track near Palm Springs, and the results were quite astonishing.

The entire run was recorded thanks by a camera mounted on the car`s steering wheel, with the instructor minded his own business while pushing the pedal to the metal. Very interestingly, he didn’t use the launch control, a fact that influenced the car`s performance while running the full straight line from 0 to 200 km/h.

As a short reminder, the BMW 7-Series 760Li xDrive uses a massive 6.6-liter V12 engine,with a mind-blowing 610 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, allowing a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a total of 250 km/h.

That is an astonishing achievement if we take into account the car`s massive body styling and mega engine. Also, if you get to opt for the M Driver`s Package, you can have its speed limited removed for a total of 305 km/h.

The rumor mill with an upcoming G30 BMW M5 is not new, the carmaker already being leaked out preparing such an astonishing model that could achieve an amazing sprint from 0 to 100 km/h, and thus adding more performance, torque and top speed.

Until an official report on such matter, we have got another rendering signed by no other than rendering specialist X-Tomi Design, which is presenting a personal view on how a much more powerful M5 would look like in the near future.

As we can depict from the rendering below, in X-Tomi Design`s opinion, the future BMW M5 looks extremely aggressive, highlighted by improved aerodynamics, more M Performance Parts and fresh rims.

Along with new mechanics, all these will allow outstanding performance, and according to recent rumors as well, the upcoming G30 M5 will indeed be more powerful.

We might be looking here at an upgraded version of the present 4.4-liter V8 engine, with more than 600 horsepower, being sent to all wheels via a high-performance automatic transmission. The model can also be switched to the rear-wheel drive system, depending on the situation involved.

Once it will arrive, the future G30 BMW M5 might sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in an amazing 3.5-3.6 seconds, which means that it will be faster than the present model with around 0.7 seconds.

Even with the impressive performance, according to specialists, the new G30 BMW M5 will still fall behind its main competitor, the no other than the all-new Mercedes-AMG E63, which packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with 604 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, and a 100 km/h sprint in 3.3 seconds.

Ever since its unveiling back in October last year, the all-new 2017 BMW 5-Series has been filling the headlines of every auto magazine all around the world, with all the eyes being focused on the top of the line M550i.

The high-end model has recently popped-up on the web in a new video, which highlights the impressive acceleration it comes with, achieved thanks to the impressive engine and top speed.

Besides the exquisite features at the exterior, which show us an aggressive design, while adding the latest gadgetries inside, the M550i top variant from 5-Series is even more impressive in the engine department.

In comes with an M Performance 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, specially tweaked with High-Performance injection system, Valvetronic valve lift, or Double VANOS variable cam timing, all of which make it churn out a pure 456 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, the latter one being achieved at just 1,800 rpm.

The entire powertrain is hooked to a high-performance eight-speed automatic Sport Steptronic transmission, which sends the power to all four axles via the car`s xDrive system.

As seen in the video below, the BMW M550i allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.0 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically limited to 250 km/h. In that matter, the M550i can easily stand side-by-side the M5 Jahre Edition, which runs the same straight line in a mind-blowing 3.9 seconds.

Sport Auto magazine has recently released a video which puts together the acceleration of two powerful SUVs: the BMW X4 M40i and the Porsche Macan GTS, two top predators that come with rather the same performance.

But before we get to watch the video together, let`s compare both SUVs from a performance perspective.

First off, the BMW X4 M40i is the top of the line in its class, coming fully tweaked with the M Performance Parts. This is really important, as the SUV received the same “M” treatment under the hood as well.

We are looking here at a 3.0-liter straight-six turbo engine, with 355 horsepower and 343 lb-of torque, which is just enough to allow a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. More than that, the car`s performance is also given by different mechanical bits, including increased camber on the front axle, higher-performance springs and stabilizers or adaptive dampers with M Performance requirements.

0 – 100 km/h: 5,3 s.
0 – 160 km/h: 12,8 s.

Moving to the Porsche Macan GTS, the new SUV may not be the best in its class as it sits between the S and the Turbo, but it does come with a sporty design and significant mechanical parts that make it a genuine competitor for the X4 M40i. We are dealing here with the Porsche Doppelkupplung seven-speed transmission and Porsche Traction Mangement system, which help the SUV change shifts faster and more precise.

Engine wise, the Porsche Macan GTS develops 360 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, with the Sport Chrono package as optional.

A few days ago we have published an interesting post related to BMW X6M because it official appeared for first time on internet.

BMW X5M is the BMW X6M‘s twin brother and both are powered by a V8 Twin-Turbo engine (4.4-liters) that produces no more than 555hp and a maximum torque of 680 Nm. These two M division cars have a 0-60mph acceleration of 4.5 seconds and wouldn’t to worry by competitors: Audi and Mercedes.

Keep in mind this: The engine from X5M and X6M will be awarded at “Best Engine of The Year 2009” contest!!!

Because of the engine, I think X5M and X6M are best performance SUVs over the world and BMW X6M would be the best performance safety car at MotoGP 2009 in Qatar this weekend.

Finally BMW made the M division for BMW X6. The first photos appeared recently on the internet, which I think it will impress you. Also, BMW X6M has a power of 555hp and a torque of 680Nm, which is great. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is impressive, an acceleration that exceeds the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S (4.9 s) and Audi Q7 V12 TDI (5.5 s)…

BMW X6M accelerates from 0 to 100km in just 4.5 s, which is a great thing. Those horses are delivered from an engine of 4390cmc, which makes me think that this motor will start as soon as possible to gain prizes.
