How would you feel like riding a BMW 2-Series Coupe down the snowy roads in Norway? This may not be the best scenario, especially since you would be driving a rear-wheel drive sports car, but instead you can go ahead and look at this astonishing driver, testing its skills in Norway.

Apart from the testing on the snowy roads, the BMW 2-Series Coupe 220d was also captured on a photo session, by the guys from Stian Furuseth Photography, which beautifully showcased the off-road-like capabilities of the model. Perhaps an xDrive model would have been more appropriate.

But this shouldn’t matter, as the BMW 2-Series 220d is capable of handling the tough conditions, thanks to the 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbo unit, with 184 horsepower, which gives it a push from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.2 seconds. Just as the 220i Coupe, the 220d is also coming with a combined fuel-consumption of around 3.7 to 6.3 L / 100 km.

Unfortunately, the BMW 2-Series 220d Coupe will be available only in Europe, while the BMW fans in the United States will receive the 228i Coupe. Enjoy the images with the great 220d in Norway!

The BMW 218i Coupe version has recently received a 3-cylinder configuration for its 1.5-liter turbo petrol unit, meaning that the model will come with a good choice of 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.

If you think that the BMW 218i Coupe is not outputting such an impressive power like its higher siblings, then you should know that the model is sprinting the 0 to 100 km/h mileage in 8.8 seconds in the manual transmission, while the automatic will go a little bit higher, at 8.9 seconds.

Even so, the BMW 218i Coupe is close to its 220i sibling, which outputs a higher 184 horsepower, standing above with just 1.8 seconds.

Another interesting thing to know about the model is that the BMW 218i Coupe three-cylinder is also coming with a low fuel consumption. We are talking about 5.6L / 100 km in the 6-speed manual, while the automatic goes even lower, with 5.1L for each 100 km.

A convertible version of the BMW F23 2-Series has been rumored for some time and now it is official that model will be coming soon, as it was recently caught on some shots.

More than that, prior to this “shooting brake”, the company also made an official announcement, stating that the convertible would be launched in 2015, completing the 2-Series lineup by joining the Active Tourer.

The upcoming BMW 2-Seris convertible will be featuring a fabric roof, resembling its predecessor, the 1-Series Convertible, but with body features taken from the coupe version as well.

Under the hood, the BMW F23 2-Series cabriolet will come with an engine lineup, meaning three units in the shape of the 228i Cabriolet, the 220i and the 220d.

The versions will be powered by the same 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged unit, developing somewhere between 322 horsepower and 332 Nm of torque.

The BMW 2-Series cabriolet will be competing the Audi 3 convertible and is supposed to come with a starting price of 30,500 Euros in Europe.

More details with the BMW F23 2-Series Convertible will be known at the 2014 Paris Motor Show, which will take place this October.

The BMW German based luxury automaker has decided to partner with the famous aftermarket specialist Hartge to make some upgrades to the 2-Series lineup concerning the exterior as well as the performance.

If you are the lucky owner of a 2-Series car and would like to upgrade your ride, just head on to Hartge specialist and let them customize it the way they do it.

Hartge will put some new sports spring sets, which will make the car lower with around 30mm at the front as well as with 10 mm at the rear.

More than that, Hartge will also include the logos to the car, the black wheel caps, the floor mats or the tire repair kit.
Upgrades will also concern the engine lineup, meaning that both the gasoline and the diesel engines will get these goodies.

In the 218d for instance, the power will be upgraded up to 174 horses and 380 Nm of torque, compared to the present 143 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque.

The BMW 2-Series 220d will also get more powerful, as it will receive 218 horsepower and massive 450 Nm of torque, while the 225d gets an output of 258 horses and 530 Nm of torque.

The last but not the least 220i version will receive 184 horses and 270 Nm of torque.

The new BMW 2-Series Active Tourer has received its first unveil at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, with two fresh premiere changes like front-wheel drive and first MPV to be launched.

If we take a closer look at the pictures, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer looks quite similar like the Ford B-Max, having an angular rear and back headlights resembling the new MINI, but being longer than the 1-Series.

The MPV will feature a five-seat version, with an extended 2-seat to be enhanced next year. The BMW Active Tourer has a split rear seats, allowing the possibility for its passengers to carry large objects between.

Apart from the entry-level, the model will also come in the SE, in the Sport, the Luxury and the M Sport trim levels, with the latter being launched in 2015.

As for the range of the engine, the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer will come with the 218i, being powered by a 3.0-liter petrol developing 136 horsepower and 220 Nm of torque.

Its colleague 225i xDrive, will sport a 2.0 petrol engine, developing 170 ponies, while the 218d Active Tourer will be sporting a turbocharged common rail diesel, generating a good 150 horsepower and 330 Nm of torque.

Finally, the BMW 2-Series will be complete with the 220i, the 216d, the 220d and the 220xDrive, November this year.

Australians can now stay in line to get their hands on one of the recently revealed BMW 2 Series lineup at the 2014 Montreal Auto Show for the base price of 50,000 AUD.

With the newly introduced BMW 2 Series on the Australian market at the base price of just 50,000 AUD, the German car manufacturer is trying to bring up some fresh spicy on the hot continent.

Thus, BMW is replacing the 1 Series Coupe with three versions of the 2 Series, namely the 220i, the 220d, and top of the line M235i.

You can get the cheapest 220i at the price aforementioned, since the car comes with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, used on the X1, X3, 3 Series and 5 Series as well, developing 135 kW and 270 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, the 220d Coupe diesel comes at the price of 52,500 AUD, being equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 135 kW and a great 380 Nm of torque.

The top of the line M235i Coupe takes its power from a 3.0-liter engine inline six-cylinder engine, outputting 240 kW and 450 Nm of torque.

The M235i hits the 0 to 100km/h sprint in only 4.8 seconds, with 7.5L of fuel for each of the 100km.

BMW is planning to expand its Series, announcing an Australian launch of the 2-Series in the near future. The model will have a starting price of 50,000 Australian dollars.

The German luxury manufacturer is heading for Australia in March, with three models ready to hit the hot continent, models that will be the successors of the 1-Series Coupe.

The three 2-Series will be the 220i, the 220d and the strong M235i. The 220i Coupe will cost 50,500 AUD, the second model 220d a higher 52,500 AUD price and the high-performance M235i will charge its costumers 79,900 AUD.

As for the three models` specs, we should mention that the BMW has done its homework. Australia will be receiving a 2.-0 liter four-cylinder engine for the 221i Coupe, and enough 270 Nm torque to throttle the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.0 seconds.

Things go even higher with the 220d Coupe. The car will sport a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, with 7.1 seconds for a 0 to 100km/h race, at 380 Nm of torque.

The strongest of all, the M235i, will get a 3.0 liter inline-six engine and 450 Nm of torque, and with a quick 4.8 seconds sprint from 0 to 100 km/h.

Our awaiting will be soon over when journalists around the world will be behind the wheel of the new BMW 2 Series Coupe. Until then, a banged up 2 Series was spotted having an aggressive looking M Sport package and Estoril Blue color.

The images provide a fairly good impression concerning the upcoming compact class coupe in March 2014. It seems that it has a good and balanced weight distribution, rear wheel drive and a six-cylinder.

Also, the images show a BMW 220i Coupe with 184 horsepower with a turbocharged four-cylinder and standard consumption from 5.7 to 6.3 liters/100km. Quite cheap, isn’t it?

The car will run from 0 to 100 km/h in around 7.0 seconds, having a top speed of 235 km/h. As for the price, the BMW 2 Series Coupe will have a starting price of 29,950 euros.

With this price ahead, the 220i remains the only version from the 2 Series coming with a price below 30,000 euros, soon being followed by a cheaper and a weaker version soon.

Other models like the 220d with 184 hp and M235i with 326 hp will follow the 2 Series` launch in March.
