The 2014 BMW M4 Convertible was seen in a world premiere wearing the Austin Yellow paintjob, with the model sitting at the BMW Abu Dhabi Motors.

The Austin Yellow body paint was first seen on the F80 BMW M3 and the F82 BMW M4 Coupe, and now the M4 Convertible version is also benefitting the color.

More colors can be ordered with the 2014 BMW M4 Convertible, like the famous Alpine White, Mineral Grey Metallic, Sakhir Orange, Black Sapphire Metallic, Silverstone Metallic or Mineral White Metallic.

The BMW M4 Convertible is also standing out with the M design features, like the aggressive front apron, the 3D shaped kidney grille with the M logo, flared wheel arches or the already famous four tailpipes.

The BMW M4 Convertible also wears a retractable hardtop, while the overall weight has been increased by up to 250 kilograms.

Under the hood, the 2014 BMW M4 Convertible 3.0-liter turbo unit, borrowed from the M3 Sedan and the M4 Coupe, hooked to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, or the standard six-manual.

In the United States, the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible has a starting price of $73,425, which is $8,300 compared to the 2015 BMW M4 Coupe.

With the New York Auto Show just around the corner, BMW pulled the wraps off the new M4 Convertible. The open-top version of the well-known sports car comes with a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine, the same one used for the Coupe.

With 425 horses and 550 Nm of torque, the 0-100 km/h sprint is possible in just 4,2 seconds when a seven-speed M DCT is used while with a six-speed manual transmission, the model completes the task in 4,4 seconds.

Top speed, as usual, is limited to 250 km/h. At the exterior, the BMW M4 Convertible is dominated by the power retractable roof which needs 20 seconds to be lowered.

The aggressive bumpers, side skirts, rear diffuser and hood are borrowed from the M4 Coupe, as you would expect.

Other features of the new model include special M brakes, an Active M Differential and optional M carbon ceramic brakes and Adaptive M suspension. Inside, buyers will benefit from leather seats, special stitching, M steering wheel and gearshift. Pricing details will be released quite soon by BMW.

It seems that BMW keeps testing the new M4 Convertible harder and harder as the German sports car was spotted again on the road. We talk about two prototypes which started to drop camouflage, a good sign that the model’s debut is just around the corner.

To be more specific, we expect to see the new model at the Geneva Motor Show next month with an online unveiling to occur soon. Under the hood, power will be provided by a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo engine producing 431 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque.

If you opt for a seven-speed DCT transmission, the 0-100 km/h sprint should be possible in around 4,3 seconds while with a manual gearbox, the model will be 0,2 seconds slower.

In terms of styling, the model will be quite similar to the Coupe brother but will sport a revised hood and of course the foldable metal roof.

Today we get a first look at what could be the open-top version of the high-performance BMW M4. The image above is said to be taken from a German brochure and for now, seems quite authentic.

This rear view reveals slightly restyled side skirts, rear bumper, diffuser and a quad-pipe exhaust system. The German model will benefit, of course, from a new set of M alloy wheels with high-performance tires.

Under the hood of the BMW M4 Convertible we will find a new 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit producing 430 horsepower and 500Nm of torque.

With the Coupe variant of the BMW M4 to debut at the upcoming NAIAS in January, the open-top version will very likely see a Geneva Motor Show debut.

If this proves to be not exact, we wanted to say that the Convertible will shortly follow the Coupe’s debut, but we think you got it either way.

Few days ago we’ve seen the BMW M4 Coupe prototype being tested but today we get the opportunity to get a closer look at its open-top brother.

As you guessed, the main change of the new BMW M4 Convertible is the three-piece folding hardtop. The exterior styling features the same new front and rear bumpers, revised optical blocks, alloy wheels and side mirrors.

Power will be provided by the same 3.0-liter turbocharged engine developing around 420 horsepower.

However, due to the added weight of the hardtop, the 0-100 km/h sprint is expected to be a little bit slower compared to the Coupe.

A six-speed manual transmission will be provided by BMW but a seven-speed DCT dual-clutch gearbox will be there as well. The new BMW M4 Coupe is expected to make its official debut next year with the Convertible model to be presented few months later afterwards.
