BMW will introduce at this year edition of the Geneva Motor Show, which will take place in March, the facelift version of the 3-Series model. New generation of Bavarian sedan will come to market in 2012. As you can saw on the set of spy photos in November, the facelift applied to the 3-Series, which will cover both the coupe version, and the convertible one, will be a redesigned front spoiler, new front and rear lamp units and a new rear bumper. Also, side sills will be fitted with a new design.

One of the main changes is that the top of the range, 335i will receive M Sport package, exclusively with 19-inch alloy wheels. Also, automatic transmission will be the same for the current model and can be operated manually from the paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.

But the big news is that the 3-Series range will be upgraded with a new “is” version, which will be available only for the 335 model. It will develop a maximum output of 335 horsepower at 5900 rpm and 450 Nm of torque, which can reach 500 Nm with the overboost function. According to an insider, the new BMW 335is will be coupled to a DCT transmission or to an automatic Sport. The new 3 Series Coupe and convertible versions will be presented at Geneva, and sales will start later this year.

If I have to choose another favorite BMW car excluding the 1 Series, it would be the 3 Series and you may realize this by reading the older posts wrote by me. Why? Well, because it doesn’t cost so much as a 5 Series or any other BMW car and also because it has pretty big performances talking about the horsepower that it can deliver or the top speeds.

The lowest price is for a 2010 BMW 3 Series Sedan ($38,955) while the most expensive is a 2010 BMW 3 Series Convertible ($57,999). 2010 BMW 3 Series Sedan comes with 116, 143, 177 and 197 hp, 2010 BMW 3 Series Wagon with 143, 177 and 197 hp and the last one, the 2010 BMW 3 Series Convertible is coming with engines that can develop 177 horsepower or 197 horsepower.

BMW 3 Series Coupe and BMW 3 Series Convertible are about to suffer a facelift. There is a different fact from the other new BMW models: the gearbox. The cheapest 2010 BMW 3 Series Coupe comes with a normal manual speed shift but if you will go to a BMW representative, you can ask to get the automatic speed shift gearbox.

The facelift of 2010 BMW 3 Series Coupe has changes not only at the outside but also at the interior. The facelift will come with a second generation of iDrive system with 4 selector buttons. The iDrive system will have a 8.8 inch LCD screen with 80 GB internal memory for music and maps for the navigation system.

2010 BMW 3 Series Coupe will have a 3.0 liter engine developing 230 horsepower wich will make this small car fly. The fuel consumption will be around 7 liters / 100 kilometers in the city and 6.4 liters / 100 kilometers on the highway. This car is briliant but at the same time, is very expensive at $41,000.
