BMW i8 Receives One-Off Body Kit from AC Schnitzer

BMW i8 has already impressed everybody with its unique and evolutionary body design and impressive power under the hood, being the BMW`s first plug-in hybrid to set the benchmarks in the hybrid segment.

But these exceptional qualities haven’t stopped different aftermarket specialists to customize it from a visual standpoint, at least. It is also the case of AC Schnitzer tuner which has added up some styling lines to this BMW i8 seen here in the photos.

The special treatment carried out at the body, makes it an eye-catching model, thanks to the metallic black paintjob along with the sky blue accents, which is really rare on the market. Let`s not forget the revised front grille as well as the rear fascia, all complemented by the Asanti wheels.

In terms of performance, we are not sure if AC Schnitzer has carried out any mods, and we might guess that it is still packing a hybrid synchronous motor under the hood, developing 131 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The synchronous motor is also backed by an I3 1.5-liter turbo unit, developing an additional 228 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, outputting a total of 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque.

This BMW i8 by AC Schnitzer was recently seen cruising outside Dordrecht, in Netherlands, and managed to attract a lot of curious eyes. After all, you don’t get to see a special BMW i8 on the streets every day.
