2015 BMW M235i xDrive Tested Out

The guys over the Car and Driver auto publication have recently tested out the 2015 BMW M235i xDrive, as they wanted to learn more about the differences that lie between the all-wheel drive and the stock rear-wheel drive model.

And the results of drive test with the 2015 BMW M235i xDrive are pretty conclusive, as this version seem to be adding some weight, which in rough weather conditions such as rain, it has the tendency of slipping. We are talking about 128 pounds over the rear M235i with automatic transmission.

In terms of performance figures, the M235i xDrive is also slower than the rear-wheel drive M235i, meaning 4.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, and this due to the extra weight that the AWD is coming with. But when tackling the tight corners, the xDrive`s electric power steering is doing quite well. Add the standard eight-speed automatic transmission and you can fully maximized the car`s potential via the Sport and Sport + modes.

Inside, the interior of the 2015 BMW M235i xDrive boasts with a lot of high-end materials which come at the right price: for instance you can get the Dakota leather upholstery for $1,450, or the driving assistance package, costing $950 and coming with parking sensors and rearview camera. On the gadgets side, you can also buy the Technology package from a good $2,150, coming with navigation with real-time traffic or connectivity.

The overall price for the 2015 M235i xDrive now stands at $52,000, which is quite much for such a sizable car, while the M235i rear-wheel drive costs under $45,000.
