2015 BMW 228i xDrive Is Out for Tests
Car and Driver has had the opportunity of testing out the latest edition from the 2-Series, the 2015 BMW 228i xDrive, which is promising to deliver an outstanding driving experience from every aspect.
The first noticeable resemblances with other models, is the body style that the 228i and the xDrive will be coming, reflected on the striking similarity with the F30 3-Series, the model measuring 2.5 inches longer and 1.0 inch wider. Otherwise, the overall body design is also similar with the 1-Series.

But the most important aspect of the 2015 BMW 228i xDrive would be the kind of powertrain it will fit under the hood. It is all about the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which outputs 240 horsepower, the power being sent to all wheels. This would be just enough to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds.

Concerning prices, BMW has announced $33,050 for the 228i regular model, while the 228i xDrive can be had for 34,850. Optionally, you can also fit the xDrive version with some interesting features.

For instance, you can get the Sport Line for a rough $2,000, which will come with the 18-inch alloy wheels, the sport seats and high-end materials inside. The Driver Assistance is also available at $950, while the Harman/Kardor 12-speaker premium audio will set you back at $875.
