First Look at 2014 BMW 2-Series at the Detroit Auto Show
The sexy and the stylish new 2-Series is just about to replace the BMW`s 1-Series Coupe and Convertible. At least this is what the 2014 Detroit Auto Show has told us do far.
The new 2-Series will be arriving this late year with a price starting from $33,025, and a $925 destination charge, which would be exactly like paying for an entry-level 3-Series.
At launch, there will be available only two models – the 228i and the M235i. The latter one is introducing the new BMW`s M Performance line of vehicles in the US, with a base price of $44,025 and the same $925.
The 228i comes with the usual turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, sporting a 240 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
At the same time, the M235i comes with a turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six, with 322 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque.
Every year the 2-Series is developing and there is a new 2-Series Convertible joining the late 2014 models, along with other new range of front-wheel-drive BMW in the US. Things are getting better for the German car manufacturer, since there might be also future undisguised versions of the new 225i. See you soon!
