F10 BMW M5 will be a future classic

Hagerty seems to think that for some reasons, the F10 BMW M5 will be a future classic, and this status implies quite a lot.
But first things first: Who is Hagerty and why should we listen to them?
Well, the boys from Hagerty are the best at one thing. They are the number one insurance provider for classic cars, so you’d think they know a thing or two about what a classic car entails. In an annual top ten “Hot List” (as they like to call it), the F10 BMW M5 was mentioned.
The Bimmer took second place, meaning that there are quite a few chances the car will become a classic sometime in the future. “A performance-oriented sedan with an old school manual transmission is quickly becoming an extinct species. While more drivers shun the thought of using three pedals, we applaud BMW for keeping this option alive in this segment.”
