
BMW 116i Fashionista Edition debuts in Japan
BMW reveals today a special edition of the current 1-Series generation designed for the Japanese market.
The new model will be offered in a limited edition, is based on the 116i model and is called Fashionista.

At the exterior, it comes with special Deep Sea Blue, White III Arupin and Crimson Red, new 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/50R17 tires but also a chrome front grille.

Under the bonnet, you will find the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 134 horsepower and linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Inside, Japanese buyers will get a revised dashboard, new leather upholstery and steering wheel, revised center console, heated seats and new inserts.

The Germans at BMW also fit the new 116i Fashionista with Park Distance Control system and Rear-View camera. BMW plans to build only 370 units of this special edition, setting a starting price of ¥3,460,000, which is about $37,500.
