Officially there is no limitation in the 1M series production.

The reason (which is known in germany for a while now) is that they stop to produce the base 1 series version because of some regulations from EU regarding pedestrian safety, which is the main reason for the end of production in December.
The pollution thing is not the reason!

Unfortunately i may not provide any links for now, but this is to be considered well known information over here in europe.

by the way: in Europe the 1M series has 340 got hp.
