Important news on BMW 1, 3, 5 and 7 Series

BMW announces the introduction of the xDrive all-wheel drive to the new generation 5 Series range and the launch of a M package for both body model variants. BMW announces a series of significant changes in the range, the main target being 1 Series models, the 3 Series, 5 Series, X1, Z4 and 5 Series GT.

The main news is the introduction of the xDrive all-wheel drive on the new generation 5 Series model, referred to the 550i and 535d diesel version with six-cylinder and 306 horsepower. BMW 5 Series GT Series isn’t forgotten, the xDrive will be found in the 550i and 530d versions. BMW 7 Series receives also the four-wheel drive xDrive on the the 740d.

Important news under the bonnet of 5 Series Touring, the wagon will receive the petrol and diesel units of 204 (525d) and 258 hp (528i). The diesel engine reaches 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds with an average consumption of 6 litres/100 km, while the gasoline one accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and promises a consumption of 8 litres/100 km.
