AC Schnitzer released a press release for some new stuff they’re working off and we’re a little disappointed in the whole thing.

There’s no word of a car from BMW being involved, there’s not even any of their high end motorbikes showing up in the photos or announcement.

Believe it or not, this time they tuned a BMW bike. We wouldn’t have settled for the idea of a scooter but this is a little out of our comfort zone.

Don’t worry though, the BMW M Carbon Bike together with the AC Schnitzer package still has quite a bit of engineering to consider.

Who are we kidding here, the BMW M Carbon Bike is actually impressive for a bike. Just as impressive as the price tag which comes in at $3.579 in the U.S.

Healthy living is one thing but ending up spending thousands of dollars for a bike is a little over the top in cases like this.

The details of the equation sound pretty simple. The original BMW M Carbon Bike weighs in at 12.7 per cent more than this.

In order to achieve the difference AC Schnitzer used carbon fiber for all the bits that weren’t already made of it.

While the percentage of weight savings sounds impressive the actual loss is just 2.2 pounds as the German tuned bike (still can’t wrap it round my head) comes in at 15.2 lbs.

Just to make sure people notice the difference AC Schnitzer cover it up with a special livery that is just covered in the company’s badges.

Not exactly least revealing article title ever but there you have it, if you’ve got an M3 and want to make it more aerodynamic and lighter, BMW Performance have got just what you need.

The component offering is related to a couple of things, both are related to pricing and exclusivity.

With that in mind, if you haven’t managed to get your hands on a BMW Frozen Gray M3 Coupe or perhaps the 2011 BMW M3 Competition Package is a bit rich for your blood, don’t despair as you can now buy a few bits for your M3 that will make it just as cool.

In fact, the best part of it is the price appeal as you don’t have to get it all at once.

The list includes the three new parts, a new rear deck lid spoiler, mirror caps and front splitters. All of the aforementioned are constructed of ultra-rigid carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) composite material. All the parts will also match the standard CFRP roof panel of the M3 Coupe.

Keep in mind that BMW Performance accessories feature a two year and unlimited mileage warranty but if you have them fitted before taking delivery of your new M3, the BMW Performance accessories will share coverage of the 4 year or 50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Here we come with another tuning package but this is by far not so impressive as the one for BMW X1 or at last it doesn’t impress me. I should start with something that some of you may be disappointed by this namely that this BMW M3 tuned by Avus Performance will have no engine updates either that it comes with enough power.

So the V8 engine which can develop up to 414 horsepower and also a maximum torque of 295 pd-ft will remain untouched. Anyway, you should know that this BMW M3 tuned by Avus Performance comes with modified suspension and a revised exhaust system.

Also, this BMW M3 tuned by Avus Performance comes with exterior carbon fiber parts, (revised rear diffuser and spoiler) and that aggressive front lip which can be seen in photos as well as the other visual upgrades that I mentioned above. Also, this BMW M3 tuned by Avus Performance comes with ADV wheels.

Looks like BMW pointed their attention very much in the past time because as you can see on the main page of this blog, there is another announcement that tells us that BMW M5 is going to be available with carbon fiber parts so this is a great thing or at last it makes me happy.

Now we’re going to talk about “carbon fiber on two wheels”. As you can see in the title, BMW S1000RR will come also with a carbon edition which from what I think is much better than the stock one because it can bring you higher performances.

Anyway, the price is pretty high, more exactly at $35,658 but if you give this money for such a motorcycle, I assure you that you will never regret the day when you bought this BMW S1000RR Carbon edition motorcycle because it can give you very high performances which are not met at the other regular motorcycles.

These is great news because now we can say that we know all the details about the new BMW M5 that it is about to come next or at last most of them. Last time I talked to you about some renderings which are revealing a big part of the front and also the rear side, a post that I recommend you to read.

If you read the BMWcoop blog you should know that the new 2011 BMW M5, better said BMW F10 will feature an engine that will be almost the same as the one from BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M.

Anyway, the fresh news about this new 2011 BMW M5 are telling us that this car will come with a chassis built full from aluminum so that it will be very light also because it will include optionally other accessories built from carbon fiber which is great.
