It would seem that the Vision EfficientDynamics concept car the Bavarians at BMW rolled out to the public quite some time ago is still the inspiration behind some rumors. The most recent of them is that BMW are considering building a new model, a hybrid one no less.

BMW will offer a production version of its Vision EfficientDynamics in 2013. It will be available in a limited series of a maximum of 10,000 units and will provide the same technical specifications that they announced for the concept of this unique hybrid. According to informations provided by a Bavarian company official, BMW intends, indeed, to produce a series version of the Vision EfficientDynamics concept. BMW is thinking at a cadence of about 5.000-10.000 annual units, but also to change the concept’s name. It is unknown yet, but, in all likelihood, will keep the coupe’s revolutionary powerplant group [...]

This is the latest, and from my opinion the coolest concept of BMW: the Vision EfiicientDynamics.
