The 2015 BMW i3 has been recently reviewed by the guys from Kelley Blue Book, the entire review being also showcased in an interesting video.

The video is trying to showcase the capability of the i3 electric of handling the rough tests on the road, which might prove that the electric car is still worthy of bearing the BMW name. But the i3 electric is a genuine BMW, the first model from the company to come with a synchronous electric motor, hooked to a 22-kWh lithium-ion battery and developing 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque.

The famous aftermarket specialists from the German based AC Schnitzer tuning division have recently transformed the BMW X4 model into a police vehicle, fitting the model with an interesting upgraded program.

The entire body of the BMW X4 has been transformed into a real police vehicle, starting with the body kit, which has now been changed with a more aerodynamic one, the model also receiving lowered suspension spring, carbon fiber mirror caps, or the chromed exhaust pipes.

Other transformations concern the Hella flashing lights, or the RTK 7 police signaling system, while inside, the BMW X4 has received aluminum pedals, custom key holder and more tweaks.

2016 BMW 7-Series Rumored with Engine Lineup

The 2016 BMW 7-Series is here and will be launched at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, with the model to hit showrooms worldwide, starting next June.

But what is interesting about the 7-Series in the G11 version, is the engine lineup that it will come with, which is quite impressive in terms of performance and fuel consumption.

According to the guys from Motor.es, the 2016 BMW 7-Series will first come with four petrol engines, all equipped with three cylinder configurations, like the four, the 6 as well as the V8. The 730i version will be equipped with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder unit, developing 260 horsepower.

BMW 2-Series Active Tourer with xDrive is real now

BMW officially announced the introduction of the xDrive system on the 2-Series Active Tourer, making this model the first front-wheel drive model to gain the xDrive system.

The four-wheel drive system will be available only on the 220d and 225i models. In the diesel version, fuel economy figures are rated at 4,8 liters/100 km with CO2 emissions of 127 g/km.

The petrol model returns an average of 6,5 liters/100 km with CO2 emissions of 152 g/km.

BMW Will Size Down MINI Model Lineup

Since the BMW`s important subsidiary British based MINI has encountered rough times in the past few years, especially for the 2014, the German carmaker has recently decided to size down the MINI lineup.

This way, BMW would prefer less models but higher-end MINI products, this way reducing costs and reviving the entire MINI fleet. Out of eight, only five models will be left on the market.

The BMW German premium carmaker has specifically chosen the 2014 Group Innovation Days to unveil the one-off BMW 3-Series Plug-in Hybrid prototype, the model standing side-by-side with the BMW 5-Series GT prototype.

This would be the first facelift carried out on the 3-Series, the model now coming with a lot of interesting changes at the body, as we could also depict from the camouflaged shots. Under the hood, the model is also coming with a conventional engine hooked to an electric motor.

From a visual point of view, the BMW 3-Series Plug-in Hybrid prototype will be coming with a revised rear bumper, changes to the headlights and the taillights, as well as other tweaks that will make it stand out from the crowd.

We talk about a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline unit and an electric motor for a total of 245 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Fuel economy figures are rated at only 2 liters/100 km or 117 mpg US.

G11 BMW 7-Series Will Tweak B &W Audio System

Since the present model is still using the Bang & Olufsen audio system, the upcoming 7-Series is rumored to come with a different audio system, which will perfectly complement the car`s iDrive system.

As said, rumors state that the upcoming G11 BMW 7-Series will be installed inside with a state of the art and hi-fi system from the Bowers & Wilkins British based audio manufacturer.
