BMW 320d Touring E91 gets the EfficientDynamics Edition

BMW decided to fit the EfficientDynamics package on the Touring version of BMW 3 Series. More exactly, after the positive feedback received by the sedan version fitted with this package, the Germans from BMW decide to apply the same treatment for the 320d Touring E91, significantly improving some consumption figures and more.

Thanks to a brake recovery system, an improved manual gearbox and a start stop system, the 320d Touring EfficientDynamics Edition is able to obtain a fuel consumption of 4,3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 115 g/km. These figures regard the 163HP 2.0-liter propeller found under the bonnet of the German model.

The Detroit Auto Show scheduled to start early next year will see the debut of the revised versions of BMW 1 Series. The Germans from BMW decided to reveal the facelift version of the current 1 Series generation, however, just the convertible (E88) and coupe (E82) versions benefiting from the minor upgrades.

At a glance we can observe the new front and rear revised optical blocks with LED lights while several new 17 and 18 inch alloy rims will be available. The Germans announced two more color options (Vermilion Red and Marrakesh Brown) to be available for the facelifted versions. A new front bumper is available too outside together with an integrated front splitter able to improve the drag coefficient, thus, to slightly improve the model’s performance.

Karim Habib to Be Returning to BMW from March 1

BMW has announced that starting from March 1st 2011 Karim Habib will replace the current Head of Exterior Design for BMW, Anders Warming.

BMW officially introduces the M Sport package for the new BMW X3 F25

The new BMW X3 F25 it’s now eligible with the M Sport package developed by the German engineers. The Bavarian SUV gets special components able to improve the aerodynamics and the aesthetics but also two new engines scheduled to be introduced soon. We talk about a 3.0-liter six-cylinder petrol engine able to develop 258 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque and a 3.0-liter diesel able to deliver the same amount of horses but slighty more torque, 560 Nm.

New information on the BMW’s future front-wheel drive models

Thanks to the people from Autocar who managed to get some extra details on the new BMW front-wheel drive incoming models we can start a somewhat prolonged discussion in this regard. According to the source mentioned above, it seems that the Germans from BMW are preparing two body versions, namely a five-door hatchback and a wagon.
