A new competitive racing bike named 2009 BMW S1000RR has been officially launched.

The only sure details about this motorcycle is that it can develop 190 horse power and a 4 cylinder engine. The weight of the 2009 BMW S1000RR shouldn’t exceed 419 pounds and it is also equipped with traction control. There are many other new technological features which are hidden at the moment. This race bike will go into production in 2009 and BMW is hoping to race it the same year.

Apparently, 2500 BMW M3 had a few problems with the double clutch gearbox. It only happens on the 2008 and 2009 M3 model and only if it has the DCT double clutch transmission.

It seems that the problem appears on the downshift and BMW has developed a solution. If you don’t know if your car has the problem, you should call BMW customer support. In most cases, the glitch appears by triggering a multi-stage downshift. In some cases, this will cause the engine to stall, which is the last thing you want in any scenario. Because of the new emissions standards, BMW is starting to make some drastic modifications.

For years, the M-models were powered by a high-revving engine. At the beginning of 2009, BMW will replace the old version with the turbocharged direct-injection powerplant. This way, they will lower the production costs of every M model which will get this type of power. The first model which will receive the transformation is the X6 xDrive M. It seems that the power will be the same, around 500 hp. There are many other models which will be equipped with this type of engine, the most popular being the 2010 BMW M5.

The first official statement says that the engine won’t lose any power, but it will be more fuel efficient and it will certainly deliver lower emissions.
