Compared to September 2009, BMW reported sales growth of 16.8% last month, in the figures were considered also the additional German’s brands, MINI and Rolls-Royce. Ian Robertson, the man responsible for Sales and Marketing at BMW stated that they expect to deliver more than 1.4 million units this year.
We recently talked about the partnership between BMW and Saab. Through this partnership, BMW will supply engines for the next-generation 9-3 model from Saab. However, if in the case told above, there was about a partnership that means engine supplying, this time, it seems that the German manufacturer BMW together with the Americans from GM are planning to work together to give birth to new engines.
For now, there are not certain details on this partnership, the only proof of this deal is provided by a statement made by a GM spokesman. He said that the two companies are planning to develop together new engines. Logically, this possible partnership will reduce the costs of developing the engines, which is a constructive way to think.
BMW revealed few teaser photos made with the ocassion of the French auto show guess where. Yes, you’re right, in Paris, the city that hosts the auto show that we are talking in the last time. Even the official revealing is scheduled for the first month of 2011, at Detroit, the Germans at BMW decided to publish few images with the smallest M in history.
This time, the Germans pulled off the camouflage of part of the rear and front bumper. The new 19-inch wheels but also the headlights and the air intakes are revealed in these teaser photos. In the rear, we can see the two-pipe exhaust system fitted for this model while the bodycolor, as told in the title, is Valencia Orange Metallic.

The hidden model suddenly changed its shape into something more familiar that resembles with the concept told above.

According to the German publication Autobild, there are some good chances for the BMW’s Vision Efficient Dynamics to meet the series production but in a limited edition. The Germans from Autobild also claimed that the hybrid supercar will be manufactured in no more than 10,000 units.
For now, BMW didn’t made any announcement in this regard since now. The Vision Efficient Dynamics concept benefits from a hybrid propulsion system made of two electric engines and a turbodiesel. The diesel engine will be a three-cylinder one, with a capacity of 1.5 liters.
The Germans engineers are testing the new BMW X1 equipped with the M-Sport package. We don’t have too many details on the M-Sport version of the future X1 expected to debut somewhere in 2011 but even so few details are obvious. Mainly, the camouflaged parts of the model in pictures are the one that suffered changes.
Thus, the 2012 BMW X1 M-Sport received a new front bumper, new sideskirts and a new bumper for the rear. Also for the exterior the Germans prepared a set of M-Sport wheels, more exactly the one in question.
The German manufacturer announced a quite big recall that involves both BMW but also Rolls-Royce sub-brand. From the total of 350,800 units, 5,800 Rolls-Royce Phantom (2003-2010) units are affected by this recall. BMW will notify every owner of the models that will be revised in order to avoid the possible braking problems.
Fortunately, since now, there wasn’t any incident that had the main cause this problem but the German manufacturer still needs to recall the models in question. The problem that appeared regards a possible leak at the braking system, this problem may appear just for the models equipped with the V8 or V12 engines.

We talked a couple of days ago about the agreement made between Saab and BMW, in order for Saab to borrow engines from BMW for the future models. At that time, we were talking based on a confirmed rumored by an official source but now the agreement was finished and its official that the future Saab models, more exactly the next 9-3 generation expected to debut in 2012 will be the first to benefit from the Bavarian engines.
Jan Ake Jonsson and Victor Muller from Saab and the BMW executive Ian Robertson signed the contract today, Wednesday, in Trollhattan. It seems that Saab will get from BMW the four-cylinder turbocharged 1.6-liter engine equipped with the start/stop technology.
