Theophilus Chin shows us the future BMW X3 through renderings

Participating at a Photoshop contest, Theophilus Chin, a well-known name when it comes to automotive renderings, decided to imagine how the future BMW X3 SUV will look like. An interesting feature of the model in the renderings is the three-door body version, which, unfortunately or not, it is almost impossible to be achieved, not technical of course, but there is not very likely to see a three-door X3.

The future BMW X3 imagined by Theophilus Chin comes with more aggressive front optical blocks featuring angel eyes, a more proeminent front grille, large four-spoke alloy wheels, tinted windows and of course the three-door style.

BMW X6 M gets similar tuning kit as the X5 M from Mansory

It seems that the Swiss tuner decided to create a tuning kit for the BMW X6 M, a package that at least at the exterior resembles with the one created for the little brother X5. Actually, the Mansory tuners announced that this tuning kit fits also the X6 model, not just the M version of the German SAC.

At a first glance we recognize the front bumper with those large air intakes also found in the tuning kit created for X5. New elements were fitted such as a carbon fiber hood, revised exhaust system pipes, 23-inch black alloy wheels, and a wide bodykit.

BMW is getting bigger: new rumors on X7 SUV

It seems that the canceled X7 project gets back in the Germans plans as the demand is increasing on the mainly markets for BMW. Thanks to Friedrich Eichiner, a BMW official, the rumors on the new BMW X7 SUV returned in the foreground as the German official stated that they are still considering that is enough room in their range for a new SUV.

About two years ago we talked about this project but the Germans decided that this project is a dead-end one, so they quitted the idea, mainly of the financial problems worldwide. However, we can see a new German SUV soon as the important markets such as China are interested in this business.

BMW introduces 440HP V6 engine from 2012 for the future M3

According to some sources within the German manufacturer, the incoming BMW M3 F30 will benefit from a twin-turbo V6 3.3-liter engine able to develop about 440 horsepower. Instead of the V8 engine found on the M3 E92, the 2012 BMW M3 F30 will get the V6 propeller that benefits from two turbines and will be able to develop slightly more horses.

According to the same sources, the V6 engine expected to debut on the M3 F30 will be even lighter than the traditionally V8, a fact that can make us just happy as the extra power and the lower total mass will increase the power-to-weight ratio.

BMW’s ActiveHybrid range for 3 and 5 Series to debut soon

We got some new details regarding the future of the ActiveHybrid range we would like to talk about. The BMW’s ActiveHybrid range currently including the X6 SUV and 7 Series will benefit from two new models to join the list of hybrid Bavarian models.

The closer one is the ActiveHybrid 5 rumored to be revealed somewhere next year while the ActiveHybrid version of BMW 3 Series is expected somewhere in 2012, thus, the next generation 3 Series might include a hybrid model.

BMW officially states: “Vision Efficient Dynamics enters production”

The Bavarian model inspired from the concept bearing the same name brings out two electric engines and a three-cylinder turbodiesel propeller able to develop together 328 horsepower but manages to keep the CO2 emissions at 99 g/km while the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h is achieved in 4,8 seconds.

According to the video below, it seems that the xDrive system developed by BMW takes the lead compared to the Quattro system of the Germans at Audi. Even we are talking on a dedicated BMW blog, we can’t judge too rough based just on what we see as the driving conditions are wide and every traction system excels in one or more chapters.
