BMW i8s with Exotic Colours Get Exclusive Display in Abu Dhabi

BMW Abu Dhabi, the carmaker`s most exclusive dealership that hosts hundreds of exquisite and expensive models, is back into the spotlights with another gorgeous display of eight BMW i8 plug-in hybrids, each one coming with exotic colours from BMW`s Individual catalogue.

We are looking here at six BMW i8s wrapped in Twilight Purple, Lava Green, Lava Red, Lava Orange, Austin Yellow and Sunglow Yellow, all being recently highlighted in a gorgeous photo session at the Yas Marina Circuit. The other three remaining i8s are wrapped in unknown colours which will be displayed on the future models.

Arno Husselmann, General Manager at BMW Abu Dhabi, has also stated that “These exclusive new colors are made by the very best paint companies in Germany using the very highest quality materials. We have no doubt that these new paints will get our discerning customers’ seal of approval.”

As a reminder, the BMW launched the i8 in 2014, the model representing the carmaker`s cutting edge technology in terms of performance and driving capabilities. The plug-in takes its power from an electric motor with 131 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque.The electric motor is backed by an I3 1.5-liter turbo engine, with an additional 228 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, outputting a total of 357 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque.

With all this sheer performance, the plug-in hybrid is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds on pure electric, which makes it more outstanding than the M3 or M4. The all-electric range is also set at 35 km, at a topping of 120 km/h, with an overall of 530 km range.
