The long-expected 2016 BMW 7-Series has finally arrived at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the flagship already receiving a lot of positive reviews from auto journalists all around the world. It is big, it is gorgeous, evolutionary and packs the ultimate technology. Let`s not forget the impressive powertrain lineup that will make it the ultimate fighting machine against its top predator, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, also revealed at the auto show.
The 2016 BMW 7-Series has impressed all its fans with the evolutionary design that is coming with, the journalists long praising its massive yet lightweight architecture, built up from carbon fiber and aluminium composites, which make it faster, lighter and more agile.
Another BMW 7-Series characteristic is the massive large kidney grille, which adds more aerodynamics to the model, with the aero slats being controlled by the computer in order to provide a more efficient engine cooling.
Other design cues that make the 7-Series standout from the crowd refer to the updated LED headlights, the lower sculpted hood which gives it a sporty look, the air breather finished in black or chrome and other exquisite design lines that make it really unique.
Moving inside, the cabin is fully tweaked with high-end materials and the latest technology ever seen on a limousine. We are mesmerized by the multitude of leather with stitching surrounding the generous space, or the wood or aluminium trims, amplifying the luxurious feel and touch.
Apart the high-end materials, the 2016 BMW 7-Series also boasts with the latest technology being now more driver-oriented than ever been before. We are referring here about the Integral Active Steering system, which is a master in providing the best handling, or the Adaptive Driving Mode, which automatically adjusts the car`s handling, driving or speed, according to the road conditions. On the other hand, the Remote Control Parking, the BWM`s original system that allows you maneuver your 7-Series in tight spaces or crowded car parks, just by using the BMW Display Key, with the driver watching while the 7-Series parks itself.
The main attraction in the cabin remains however, the iDrive operating system with touch display and gesture control, a premiere in a BMW`s latest model. The iDrive system lets we use different controllers by using voice commands or activating different functions with the gentle touch of the screen`s surface. More than that, hand movements are processed by a 3D sensor performing certain tasks found on the centre console, like audio volume adjustments, accept and reject incoming phone calls and more.
In the engine department, the 2016 BMW G11/G12 7-Series will bring aboard the all new six-cylinder inline petrol and diesel engine lineup, the latest creation of the engineers from BMW. They provide incredible efficiency, thanks to the BMW`s TwinPower Turbo technology fitted in the higher-performance V8 engine.
